Here is a car that you want to drive. Sporty handling with a sedan comfort. Good value for the money.

After driving a Camaro Z28 and various sportbikes I am shocked to see that a family-hauler can handle this well. Smooth (manual) shifter. The front wheel drive is a little disappointing and there's virtually no torque below 3000RPM but all in all it is an excellent package at a very good price. Dealers are willing to let it go several thousands less MSRP (mine was about MSRP-$8000 - what a steal!). Highly recommended if you don't absolutely need RWD.

Be careful over 100k

I purchased my '05 Mazda 6 in 2007 with 20k miles. The car ran great, had lots of pep and was very reliable. After 120k miles I started noticing the oil level going down with no noticeable oil leak. It eventually would not start and when I brought it to the dealer they found that the valve seals were leaking and the PVC valve was blowing oil into the cylinders as well as the throttle body. After having the those 3 things replaced and spending $1500, it is running fine. Perhaps this is considered routine maintenance or the dealer ripped me off so beware.

I have had my Mazda wagon for a few months now and I LOVE it. I have never driven such a wonderful vehicle. It is sporty, fast, and very roomy. I have had no problems al all. No one in my family had ever owned a Mazda before and 2 have bought cars since. This car is wonderful for familys or even single people who like to haul or buy stuff.

This car is a blast to drive and well engineered, inside and out. My complaints are relatively few and are generally cosmetic or insignificant to the avg driver. First, the car's turning radius is pretty wide which can be a pain if you need to do a quick K- turn because there winds up being nothing quick about it. Also, the red dash lights seem a bit toy-ish, almost something very "early'80s/Atari-esque" about them. However, on the positive side, much ado has been made of nothing where this car's lack of low end torque is concerned because although the 192 lb/ft don't kick in until mid-may up the RPM scale, the torque band does flatten out right where the car's max hp of 220 kicks in.
