Fun Little Hatchback!

2011 Mazda 2 Touring 4dr Hatchback (1.5L 4cyl 5M)

The Mazda2 was about the smallest and lightest 4-door hatchback sold in the states, and it shows its size. It's a little rough on the highway and above 70, fuel economy drops considerably even with the 5-speed manual. But as a small city car, it's stellar. With the manual transmission at least, it's responsive and quick, and it has decent cargo capacity. Though it doesn't have bluetooth as standard, it has an aux input jack and a decent stereo. Rear legroom is lacking, but it's about average for the class. Overall, it's been a great little car for me. My fuel economy has been above EPA estimates on average, I've not had any reliability issues with it, and it's been a lot of fun to drive.

This car is excellent in every area!! It gets awesome gas mileage and is so much fun to drive. All of the reviews are right! I had been looking for a car for about 5 months and was real tired of it. I was at the volkswagen dealership and my mom saw it. I fell in love and now its the best car I've ever owned. I hope to have it for many years. The interior is very suitable and I love how easy it is to clean and so comfortable!! I would buy it all over again.

Best handling subcompact hatchback out there

Exactly what I planned on buying. The 2 handles great. It is best on curvy roads. I put a K&N air filter in it and it helped the acceleration. I drive 90% highway driving and I am averaging 40 mpg. That is with 3k miles on it. It is not a perfect car; however, I think that it is the best handling subcompact hatchback sold today. I test drove both auto and manual an the manual is the most fun to drive. I test drove other cars, but this car handles better than the other subcompacts that I drove. This car has the zoom zoom handling Mazda is famous for. At least test drive one before you buy another subcompact. I would buy this car again.

Bought this to replace a 12 year old clunker. I love driving the car. The engine does feel peppy. The lower horse power forces you work the gears. The shifter and gear box are great -- exactly what I expect from Mazda. It is always fun to drive a slow car fast. I bought the base Touring model. It had all the features I wanted; cruise, upgraded stereo, trip computer, etc. I would love to see a center console. I have no where to put my right arm on longer freeway drives.

Bought this car a month ago for commuting to work after the old s10 sprung several oil leaks and wow. People complain its slow obviously the don't know how to shift and double clucth. Turning off tcs and putting flat on the floor will get you to 60 in 7-9 seconds depending on how you shift. The fuel economy? Ive put 1000mi on my car and with premium gas and a somewhat conservative foot I average 30-33 mostly highway. The interior is actually fairly comfortable for a economy car I have a magnaflow exhaust and new intake order for the car which cost all off 200$ and it will more than make up for the "lack of get up" everyone complains about. For a used 10,000$ car holy cow its nice. Now I love my drive home
