Best Car I have Owned.
This is my third SC430. My wife and I love this car. The stylish lines are timeless. The build quality is unmatched, the reliability is insane. I cannot believe that Lexus stopped building such an excellent vehicle. Their new converts can not compare.

SC 430
This car is a refined sports car which may be too tame for some, but just right for others. It does not offer the excitement of a 911, Viper or Z06, but it does have creature comforts and fit and finish which is beyond reproach. Having owned many other roadsters, I can tell this is the one I'll keep for a while to come.

What a beautiful car
It is the car that you cannot keep your eyes off of. Perfect in almost every aspect.
A classy ride
I'm now 72 years old and have owned many fine nameplates in the past including BMW, Mercedes, Porsche and Audi. This car is an engineering masterpiece and a joy to own in its own right. I love top down cruising in the countryside with that smooth V-8 under my right foot. Turning on the Mark Levinson to my favorite tunes adds to the pleasure. It's a style that grows on you not unlike the new Mercedes SL, and for a lot less money. When it is replaced next year I doubt there will be another quite like it.
Run flat tires
I love driving this car but I have serious problems with tires separating from the rim. Within the last 4 months, I had to replace 3 tires at $400 each. The car does not even have 15K on it. I am an experienced driver but have never experienced such a problem. I believe that the Dunlap run flat tires are of an inferior quality and need improvement. Lexus dealer informed me that these tires are much thinner on the outer portion of the tire. Maybe that is the problem but we as consumers should not suffer from that! When one buys a $65,000 car, he or she should expect quality including the quality of the tires.
2007 SC430 Pebble beach Edition
Purchased this car used with only 7000 miles. This car has exceeded my expectations in all respects. The engineering, fit and finish are beyond reproach. The only concern is the run flat tires. I got the P.B. Edition and love it. I doesn't compare to Porsche, but wasn't designed to do so. A great car for me at 66 yrs.
BRING BACK THE SC430!!!!!
My best car EVER! RIP at 332,000 miles!!! I bought my SC430 in October 2001 and had it until December 13, 2016, due to a freak accident in my own backyard! I changed the Alternator ONCE in May 2016 and the Starter and Pully ONCE in August 2016! I changed the timing belt THREE times at every 100,000 miles. Other than the usual brake change and service/maintenance, there were no major issues. I pray to have another car such as this. I cannot live without the refinement of this vehicle. Lexus, please and please in the name of Jesus, BRING BACK THE SC430!

SC 430
This is a great reliable car. Workmanship is excellent. Our last car was a 2005 Corvette and it spent many days at the repair shop. This car has never had any repair problems and it has 36,000 miles on it. I would strongly recommend this car.
Wonderful to Drive
This car is a complete joy. Two of my best friends also drive the Lexus SC430, and we all agree. It's the most fun, feel-good car we've ever driven! I enjoy the ease of the retractable hardtop and love the design/look of this car. People stop to compliment this beautiful Lexus.
Great value - top down fun
A great value on the used car "fun" market. Sure there are more expensive converts, but this one has been a fun, affordable and reliable. All good - thumbs up!
Amazing LUXURY hardtop convertible
The sports car “purest“ will not like this car. BUT those who desire a luxury ride with sexy, clean, sports car lines will love this car. My hubby and I have a 2004 in the true red. Being 16 years old, she is still eye candy and we get compliments and gawkers every time we drive her. The car is amazingly quiet with a comfortable ride. We’ve done numerous road trips and purchased aftermarket luggage that is designed to perfectly fit in the trunk with the top down. Works like a charm with room to spare. The “backseat” is virtually nonexistent, but our two 28 pound dogs fit back there and that’s all we really need. My hubby added an aftermarket backup camera, bluetooth connectivity, interior LED lights, and rear tail and reverse LEDs. We had to replace tires and considered all seasons, but decided to stay with runflats and bought Michelins. The ride is terrific. This car is a joy to own and drive. If you want a sexy sports car at an affordable, used price and don’t want to sacrifice comfort and ride, this “oldie but goodie” is an excellent choice. We couldn’t be happier. (We’ve owned four Corvettes—still have one antique—and this little Lexus blows them all out of the water as far as comfort and quietness. She’s a keeper!)
Lexus SC 430-2008
I have owned as many as 50 cars in my time. My lexus sc 430 convertible out wins them all. The leather is so soft and inviting that I can ride in the car all day. The sound system is tops, and the driving experience is like none other. The paint on the car is beautiful and I am trying to preserve this car because I do not think that there will be another like it. The body style commands attention, what can I say except that this car has earned the number one place from me!
Best car I've ever owned!
Very reliable, fun to drive and such an easy keeper compared to other luxury convertibles.

Great GT Car!
Comfortable, powerful, well-appointed hardtop convertible. A GT car is defined as "designed for high speed and long-distance driving, due to a combination of performance and luxury attributes." Add "reliable" and you have the SC430.
My Midlife Dream Car!!!
Just bought a lightly used '07 with 4000 miles. Just love it! The interior stands up against the Mercedes SL while being $40k less. Wanted a luxurious, smooth ride, with pep when I want it. This car is absolutely perfect! And the reliability of Lexus makes it a real no-brainer!
My classy convertible
I really love my Lexus sc 430, it handles beautifully and I enjoy driving it. I have no problems with it at all. I purchased the car new and have replaced the tires at 25,000 miles which is to be expected. I hope they do not change the style, it is just a great looking vehicle.
SC 430 Lexus
Great car!I am very happy with features and quality of this car. Keep up the quality.
Ma Belle Noir
This my third SC430 and it is my forever car. 2010 is the last year of production with only 328 sold in the US. The updates in 2010 were nice adds but all the SC's drive well. The 6-speed transmission that was first offered in 2006 is smooth and everything about this car is reliable. Mine is Obsidian with camel leather interior and expresso birds eye maple interior wood made by Yamaha. I never get tired of looking at and driving this beauty.

Can't ask for more!
Traded in my RX300 with this SC430 new in 2007. Three years & 34,000 miles later, I have not had any problems with this car. Black Sapphire exterior and Camel leather interior turns head anywhere I go. Had to change the tires at the 26000-mile mark. With depreciation and maintenance be ready to have a $1000 a month expense on this car. It's worth every dime!
The best-convertible hardtop
My Lexus SC430 is as modern now as back in 2007. The cost back then was $67k because it has all the features of new cars today. I wouldn’t have a soft top convertible due to the top fading and getting torn as well as roll over if an accident. My color of Tiger Eye Pearl Mica is beautiful, it sparkles in the sun and people tell me it’s great! The big V-8 is smooth and powerful, it’s a luxury cruiser. I got only 112k miles for a 2007 and keep in maintained on all ways. This will be my last car as I’m 70 but will love every day I have it!

Stylish Convertible
Nice convertible with hard top so it is quieter than cloth convertibles. Luxury interior but electronics are outdated and were outdated in 2009. Great ride and lots of power. Really enjoyed the ownership.

Looks arent everything
I had recently bought the Lexus SC430 and I truly hate this car. I have the rare pebble beach edition too. The first problem was that my left headlamp fell off while I was driving on the highway. Lexus said that it was due to driver neglegance. Then my power top got stuck halfway closed they did replace it. Then my alternator went bad I've been through six already. Then three days ago my brakes let go coming up my driveway. The car is nice looking yes but its very unrealiable. Then my whole instrument panel stopped working. That cost me $1,100 dollars because it wasn't covered. I also have a Cadillac STS-V and that gets better mpg than the Lexus. Im trading this in for a most likely a Cadillac.

Fun car to drive
purchased a 2008 with 44K miles, one owner and reasonably well maintained. Roof leaked that needed to be repaired. Since then fun car to drive. Really a classic car that turns heads. Love it
Can’t wipe the smile off my face
Was so pleased that I bought this beautiful car for myself as a present of turning 60. Try a Porsche 911 turbo but just wasn’t me.

Classy ride
I love the look of the car especially with the top down. It has a very solid ride and feel to it. The quality is outstanding. I am also amazed at the gas mileage for an 8 cylinder which is excellent. Over all it was a very good purchase decision.

An old vehicle keeps its youthful spirit!
It is a wonderful ride! After a minor tweak during a maintenance visit, the SC drives like a new vehicle. Leus knows comfort in its vehicles and this automobile is an accurate measurement of its workmanship.

I found a SC430 in mint condition with 31k miles. This car is gorgeous and is basically brand new. I could not be happier with this purchase.

Sports car ? NO. Two seat Luxury Convertible, YES
What exactly is the Lexus SC430 ? Simply put, is it a sports car? No, it is not. It is a Gizmo hardtop Luxury Convertible with two functional seats, a rear seat package shelf and a very small storage area for a trunk. Fun to drive with the V8 engine but, expect poor mileage and large gas bills being that it burns premium gas only to take advantage of that V8 power .
