Love this Car
Great Ride, Plenty Powerful, Very Refined, Great Service, Wonderful Reliability
Best Car I've Ever Owned!
During a period of "unemployment", I decided to try my hand at selling cars. I was sold on the quality and vowed that I would one day own one. I got back into my previous career field and bought not one - but TWO Lexus (Lexi ??). My SC 300 is without a doubt the most luxurious car I've ever owned. It drives like a dream and hasn't been in the shop for anything other than recommended scheduled maintenance. The styling is distinctive and it is a pleasure to drive!!

Excellent Drive
This is a great car. I have all the regular maintenance done at the dealership which is expensive but I have never experienced ANY issues. Of all the cars I have previously owned, this is the first car that I truly enjoy driving. I would recommend this as a used car for anyone purchasing. I will only buy Lexus going forward based on my experience with this car.
WHAT A GREAT CAR
I have had this car for almost 14 years and it has 250,000 miles on it. I love it and so many people have stopped me for years to see if they could buy it. Of course, I said "no". If only Lexus would make a car similar to this SC, I would buy it in a flash. The sports car that they came up with to replace it is too small and too expensive. The IS in my opinion is no comparison at all. This car has "class" and is a dream to drive. I hate giving it up. I am looking hard now to find something that I absolutely love and it is hard. Most of the cars all look alike. I am considering the Audi S5...it is closest in look and seems to have what I like. I would rather drive the Lexus though!
Beautiful Sight to See!!!
I just purchased a 1999 SC300 with 141k for a steal. I always thought these cars were nice but WOW. Now that I own one it is amazing the attention I get (and Enjoying every bit of it!!!). I took it to my mechanic and everything checks out, we are working to get her back in top form. After having the Black Exterior buffed out, it has restored a beautiful deep luster. Seats fit like a glove. Stereo is AWESOME!!! Lexus you have won me over. :-)
Dream on wheels
EXTERIOR: Racy yet classy design. This car can go anywhere and feel right at home, be it a business meeting, a wedding reception or a day at the park with buddies. INTERIOR: The leather seats are extremely comfortable. Front passenger room is more than adequate. Ergonomics are great with the exception of the cup holders. Of course rear passenger room is not the forte of any sport coupe, however, a large 6'3" 220lb. teenager fits back there (to my surprise). Performance/reliability: Where this car absolutely excels. Have had no repair issues. A regularly maintained SC 300 might run forever. Incredible on the curves, heart pounding passing power, top end close to 150 mph (not recommended).
My SC 300
My car has over 110,000 miles, and I still smile every time I see it. Looks great, interior is very sharp, and it runs smooth and is well built. I had a 4-Runner previously, and based upon these 2 experiences will stick with Toyota.
A masterpeice
Bought the SC3000 new and have driven it over 123,000 since purchase in 1996. The car is a marvel; I have never had to replace anything on the car but a strut which started leak at 123,000 miles. Still running on original clutch and brake pads. It is simply impossible to built a better looking or more reliable vehicle.
Car for Life
Had this car since it was new in 1996. Has 41000. babied miles. Still looks very modern and in style. Great engine and drive.

Best deal on the road!
Best looking and driving used 2 door sport coupe for the money. Comfortable. Seats 4 or 5 if needed. Still feels like a $40,000 car at a third of the price. Quality and luxury.
SC 300
Great looking car and built solid. Don't see many of these around and so it's a pleasure to have something different.
Clean and beautiful
This car is clean well kept and driven by me, the owner, for the last 6 years. It is black and beautiful. It drives and rides like a dream.
LOVE THIS CAR
This is the most fun car I have ever driven. I have owned mustangs, vettes, and other cars, but this one takes the cake. Never had any mechanical problems and it just looks stylish. Classy at the club and sporty on the highway.
Simply Handsome and True
In 2008, this 96 model still looks great and in my opinion, will remain a classic. Good power and feels solid. Love it!
What a Car
I bought the '96 SC 300 in August of '99 as a certified pre-owned car from the dealership. I saved a bundle from what I would pay for a brand new SC, but paid a little more than what I would have off the street from an individual. Still, as a package, it is the best car value I have ever had. I will not likely buy any other car again. Its performance, handling, reliability, comfort and value are second to none. I have had friends and co-workers who have owned BMWs and Mercedes, and they complained often of problems with reliability and value. Not with my Lexus certified pre-owned. What a car!!
Beautiful
Every time I look at my SC300 I think to myself: What a beautiful machine. Exterior and interior look fantastic. I only paid $15,000 in 12/2002 for a SC300 with 75K miles having a $50,000+ sticker price. Looks and drives like new.
Luxury and Sport
Luxury. Perfomance. Both coexisting happily in the Lexus SC 300 Coupe. Drive for hours on the interstate and it will seem like minutes. The car goes wherever you point it and requires barely one finger to steer. Steering by telepathy, I call it. Drive over the roughest terrain and the car stays on course. No road condition upsets this car, such as bumps in mid- corner. And its quiet. Cant even tell the engine is running except for the beautiful sound of the exhaust.
So dependable
Reliable with decent power. 6 speed automatic, no CVT!!! Virtually no issues as long as maintenance is kept up .

Lexus took Mercedes Benz too task.
An instant classic touring coupe. The inline 6 cylinder engine paired with a clutcheless 3 speed w/overdrive transmission lets you drive for any road conditions you encounter. As soon as you set it in drive this beauty comes alive when you actually feel it grab the garage floor. Love to say to first time passengers, " You hear That?" & every reply has been, "I don't hear a thing", even at (25) years old @ 289,000k miles _No Rattles! I'm now retiring it from my daily driver to be restored outside with (1) small parking lot present, However the Pearl Metal Flake paint still looks New! The interior will be restored with new electronics, but the Bisquit Tan seats/ trim are only broken-in on the drivers seat, fits my 6', 230# frame like a glove. I'm wanting to send it to my son in Switzerland & run it against a same year MB AMG & Smoke'm in the Alps as the Rockies over here have witnessed and is on youtube. This also is where you hear the AMG rattiling Loudly & the SC300 interior's silent, just like mine & All others because Toyota was establishing the next level car brand -LEXUS. Coolest thing was this vehicle has the documents as being built and fully assembled in Japan under triple redundancy in May 1999.
One of the world's best luxury cruisers
This is my 4th SC coupe. About time I tossed a review on here. These are in my opinion one of the best car models in recent years. Regardless of what year you get you will be very happy with the car. The 300 is very zippy and has plenty of power for most drivers. You cannot go wrong with these. My last one got 230,000 miles on it before I decided to trade. The 2000 models are very rare with less than 400 of the SC 300s made. Enjoy.
Sleek and sophisticated
The best thing about this car is that it is built by Toyota. The next thing is that it is about the best looking since the XKE Jag. The next best thing is that it says Lexus.
Great, reliable, and unique car.
I've owned my 1997 SC300 for a year now, and I do not regret buying this car one bit! Starts right up every time! I haven't had one issue besides wear and tear. Wear and tear: blinker light and a seized caliper, so even for a 19 year old car, its very well put together. I do regular maintenance and baby it. I recommend buying a SC with low miles or well taken care of, it will be worth it. Update 1/08/17** 88k had the check engine light come on and was only a O2 sensor so it was a easy fix. Still going strong

Best Grand Touring car of the 90's JDM era
Black leather, comfortable ride, 230HP, plenty of leg room for two with great visibility throughout the cockpit. Climate controls, mine with touchscreen making it 2022 fresh. Plenty of sound to get the driver excited to rev without the need for an aftermarket exhaust yet very quiet when you are cruising. The car loves long distance marathons as the comfort is beyond measure. Think two by two personal coupe. There is nothing more luxurious than having that space all to yourself. Be an executive, get a car made of steel for protection, space for stretching out the legs, and smooth driving pleasure!

SC 300
I've bumped on something a few times and found that its really hard to dent. Its fun to drive and accelerates really fast.
Classic car purchase
An older, pristine Lexus with fewer than 60K. Black on black desirable to me. Handles extremely well, sound system is adequate but weak in the outlying areas. This car does not replace any other but is for fun driving only. Our 330 is a much copied car but this seems to be singularly attractive. Its road hugging action makes it fun to drive on windy, curvy roads. Fuel economy is not bad for a 9 year old car. My last classic was a 1990 Reatta with fewer miles but was not a car to sustain age. Hopefully this one is better. Timing belt is a concern because of the age. I will replace it soon.
SC Coupe
very comfortable drive.Luxury, dependable vehicle with easy to use cruise control.the style is classic and sophisticated. service is hassle free and the free carwashes aren't bad either!
