Amazing Road Trip Car

Due to timing finallying landing one of these amazing cars, we ended up immediately on a 1,000 mile round trip to attend a wedding. What a pleasure to drive and I quickly adapted to the driver assist features that maintained speed and distance on the highway and kept the car centered in the lane with no input by the driver except for a light touch of the steering wheel every 15 seconds or so just to make sure you are paying attention. Gas mileage was 34-36 on the highway and we are seeing 35-37 in the city. The optional "traffic jam assist" automatically engages and starts, stops and steers the car to keep up with the stop and go traffic. Super quiet, super comfortable, beautiful and easy to use touchscreen, responsive voice controls this and more makes this a stress reducing road car. Hard to find at your dealership, we were fortunate to find one that was under allocation to the dealer before someone else shatched it up. Now at about 3,000 on the odometer, we are loving this vehicle.

We were looking for a nice luxury vehicle that didn't kill us at the pump. This is it. We opted for the Premium Plus because we did not want low profile tires/wheels. They are no good for California roads. Our other car lowpro tires/wheels are damaged. We also didn't want to pay for option we will never use. Nonetheless, the premium plus came with leather interior, panoramic roof, digital rearview mirror, rear kick sensor, heated steering wheel, colored interior lighting, facial recognition for driver settings and driving assist, vented front seats. Nuff said. It has more that we need. The hybrid system seems to work flawlessly. We have no complaints. It does not have the power of the other engines but has enough. We don't go racing around. My other vehicle is a 19 4Runner TRD ORP and is very slow compared to this. I am very happy with this purchase. After six month of ownership and about 5k miles, The MPG is pretty close to what is claimed. Hard to believe for a vehicle of this size. Only gripe, the passenger side dash keeps popping off on it's own and hanging down. No other issues.

As advertised with mileage!

So I am a former owner of two MDX's, and I also have a weekend sports car...and Audi Rs5 for pleasure. Had to trade in our MDX bc it was guzzling too much gas! Got the latest rx 350h and sharing feedback as we were looking for reviews for awhile...Car is as advertised with a 36 mpg...the main concerns of the 4 cylinder is also apparent. The acceleration is not fun and the sound is something you will have to compromise..when not trying to accelerate at a high extent, the car is smooth, comfortable, and pretty quiet. Toyota hybrid system is of course very well done interior comfort and amenities are done nicely. This is a great everyday family car for day to day needs and road trips. Very satisfied with our vehicle, knowing we would have to settle for the engine. We didn't want to go full electric yet due to convenience for road trips....if this is something you enjoy, this is definitely a choice to consider...

We were on a wait list for the Cadillac Lyriq which was taking very long. We test drove the non hybrid RX 350 and decided to get the hybrid since it gets significantly better gas mileage and can use regular unleaded gasoline. Gas mileage is fantastic. It doesn’t seem to matter if we use a more premium grade (91) or regular unleaded (87) for drive quality and gas mileage. Only the initial drive home on the highway was in the mid 20’s - we figured it was cold, we were driving all highway and the hybrid battery must not have been charged. After that, we started averaging between 36-38 regardless if my husband or myself is driving-and we drive quite differently. We’ve taken this vehicle on several 2-3 hour trips plus driven locally. This car is the most comfortable car we’ve ever driven. We love all the seat adjustments and the lumbar on both the driver and passenger seats on the luxury trim. The interior is very quiet. Owned 2 1/2 months and 2,300 miles. We find the electric door handles easy to open and close and we haven’t had anyone with difficulty gettin or out including my 77 year old m. The cruise control is easy to figure out. Lane assist and traffic jam work great. Acceleration is plenty adequate.

Got my RX350h on July 5, it took a couple week to test most of the features. Gas economy is better than expected. Ride is smooth, different driving mode: eco is for economy purposes so acceleration is gradual and a bit noisy, normal is quite fine in every situation, and for the sport mode I notice that is use the rear wheel more often with the front wheel for better acceleration. Absolutely a charm to drive in the traffic, with all the electronic aid it’s relaxing. About a 1000 mile on it, nothing bad to say. Maybe on the 21 inch tires, very limited option on the market at the moment, I expect a better offer next year, I hope so. Favorite option HUD (head up display), 360 or bird view and traffic assist Performance it’s not five stars because it’s a bit noisy, and for interior is ok but compare to genesis where they put more leather, they could do better. But prefer the stick shift and the screen compare to Genesis.

Some well known publications rate the 350 lower than german competitors in the luxury SUV segment, and to some extent I understand why. The engine hybrid is not as refined or powerful as some of the competition. I test drove many different makes, and agree that there are more fun powertrains with a stiffer ride. And if that's what you're looking for I suggest getting a german car, that's not what this RX350 is about. What you get is a top notch interior, a soft comfy ride and nearly silent in the cabin. Sure the engine is a bit rough under high acceleration, but that is a price I am more than willing to pay for the outstanding gas mileage and ability to use regular instead of premium fuel. The 350h doesn't have quite as much horsepower, but it still has plenty for daily driving. I wanted a midsize SUV that will be used daily as a comfortable and quiet family hauler, not something to eat twisty roads. Every time I use the car I appreciate 38 miles per gallon and legendary reliability, and I value those things more than a slight bump in performance which I would appreciate on occasion. Considering it has best in class fuel economy, one of the better interiors in its class, Toyota/Lexus reliability, and an outstanding residual value, the 350h is a compelling choice. I will also say that a lot of the reviews I read on the 2023 redesign had complaints about the overly invasive safety systems must have been addressed. My car is still somewhat of a nanny, but it doesn't seem nearly as bad as what was described in the reviews I read.

We love the Lexus comfort and the mpg is amazing. No need to get a plug in hybrid when you can get 500+ miles on a tank of gas. And no charger time/range anxiety like with electric on long trip. We love this car. We still love it. In city driving we get nearly 40 mpg and 30ish on the highway. With our previous RX350 we had to stop for gas on out trip from Texas to Little Rock. Not necessary anymore.

Have owned 3 previous RX's including 2 hybrids. Dust filters in the rear seats from around the door gaskets. Dealership wont replace them and have acknowledged this as a known problem. Wiping off the seats before entering the rear seats is just bad. After a car wash water drips down onto the arm rest. Acceleration in hilly or the Rockies is nonexistent, and somewhat dangerous when passing.Engine noise is very loud at acceleration .Technology package is not user friendly.

Cannot get a worse car for the price

We had owned a RX350 for almost 16 years earlier. My wife was very excited to get this car. However, it has been a real disappointment. It is one of the slowest on the road - very poor acceleration - you almost have to stand on the gas pedal to get any pickup. The gas tank capability is very deceiving - it says it is a 17+ gallon gas tank. We are able to only fill out to a max of 12 gallons or so even with just 20 miles left to empty (we checked this on multiple occasions) - so the cruising range is lower than what it displays - which is around 560 on a full talk of gas - but you get only 480. We only got one key for the car and it has been more than six months now and have not gotten our second key yet.

This vehicle had some unexpected features, which was a pleasant surprise, like the bumper guard, rear window shades, and window visors. Unfortunately, it also had missing features, like the second key, cargo cover, and cargo netting.
