Old GS was great, New GS is amazing.

Before I leased this car, I had the older generation GS 430. I thought nothing would top it in terms of performance and driving enjoyment. However, I was wrong. The 2006 GS 430 is even more fun to drive with tighter steering, better acceleration, and STEPTRONIC!!! I was deciding in the end between getting the GS 430, the Mercedes E500, and the BMW 545i. I am very happy to have chosen the GS as it is the king of the midsize luxury sedan class.

This is my third Lexus, and nothing else compares. GS is just perfect. Exterior design made everybody on the road simply jelaous. Ride is phenomenal, acceleration kicks butt. Before I knew it, I had 140 miles on it and I didn't even feel it. Top class, top quality, top FUN!

This car looks, feels, and drives like a vehicle that is meant for a night out to the opera yet trounces many other "luxury" sedans as if they had an anchor fastened to their rear axle. The interior is well thought out feels comfortable enough to make me feel as if were I my in my living room. I know the engineers are sleeping well because they have come another step closer to a perfect car.

This has to be the best sport sedan with a real rear seat.

DRIVING AND HANDLING: The acceleration, handling and smooth shifting are very helpful for stable control over winding roads and in fast traffic. I drove over the Santa Cruz mountains yesterday and had a blast. The handling was superb and the car was able to accelerate effortlessly passing traffic. The brakes are a bit "grabby" and the accelerator is a bit stiff. Maybe they soften with use. The stiffer suspension button is also useful. INTERIOR: Road noise is low and comfortable. The steering wheel rim diameter has been increased for a sportier feel. The cool air seat pump, bluetooth and keyless entry are nice additions. GPS is a must for big cities. Triptronic shifting is fun.
