Not a Q5 but close enough for waaaay less
So my sister got a used 2015 Q5 for 25k, I got a used 2013 Sorento Ex V6 AWD all the bells and whistles for 12k about the same time back in 2020, before the prices went berserk. Three year driving review: yes, her Q5 is definitely an A+, I have driven it 5k miles. I drive her car spirited. The thing is, I never mind coming home and driving my Sorento, in fact the driving position is slightly higher and preferable, and the controls for radio, blue tooth, ac etc are more intuitive, so my car gets a B+ for driving compared to hers and A+ for value. I have driven this Sorento 37k over 3 years. Yes, you have to drive a little less spirited on twisty country roads compared to the Q5 but the daily driving in the Sorento is great, the V6 has plenty of power to pull up long steep grades, you get through twisty country roads just fine at a slightly less spirited pace, gets through the snow just fine, easy to park, won't move your couch but will fit that bike or 75 in TV with the split seat down.Fits 4 adults for a road trip. The back seat fits 3 skinny teens, maybe two car seats and a booster, definitely one car seat, a booster and one kid. Love my dual moon roof. Visibility is average. The cost to own is way less. I replace a battery for $200 and it lasts 5 years, she replaced a battery for $1000 and it lasts 7 years. It's average for a mainly fwd car on tires and brakes, depends on how and where you drive. I buy better tires and rotate with every oil change. I do lots of turns, hills, and stops, so every 35k/3 years or so for me. That is true if all our cars, regardless of make. I service the Sorento as recommended. The 3.5 V6 is a strong motor, make sure you get a V6, would be underpowered with a smaller engine imo. I average 18 mpg with mostly city/ suburban driving, 22 for road trips at 70 mph. I did remove my cross bars on the roof rack. I have AWD with locking differential if I need it. And the AC is strong, love my heated seats too. It's 11 years old, 87k miles, the interior is in great condition, no rattles etc. I did get one that was well maintained. It's a good value SUV without really any compromises for a daily driver if you need AWD. Yes, I have the 3rd row seat, it's for the under 10 set only, low boosters yes, car seats nope. On the few occasions I need it, it's handy and the kiddos like it. I would not plan on using the 3 rd row daily unless you have a 5 or 7 year old who loves that spot and likes to scramble over...do yourself and your kids a favor and get a minivan if you need that 3rd row daily (trust me, love me a minivan until the kids graduate college...you gotta haul all their stuff, nothing beats minivans when you got kids, sports, teenage drivers, and college). Cost to own and maintain is reasonable. I also own Toyotas and Subarus, do I think it will last 20 years, maybe, go 225,000k miles effortlessly, maybe. Will it go to 150 to 175k with good maintenance, most probably yes. One last note, drivers over 6 2ft will be comfortable but may find windshield a little low. 5ft 10 and under, no issues.

BMW to a KIA
I recently made the decision to get a moore spacious vehicle. My girlfriend recently purchased a RAV4, and we both found that vehicle outstanding. I wanted a little more room, and I also didnt want 2 of the same cars. I have been driving a BMW 5 Series Wagon for the past few years, and driving is a passion for me. I also have a Corvette. Researched and test drove several SUV's, some larger than the Sorento. The KIA was the overall winner, hands down. Definately go with the V6, the milage is almost identical, and the performance is a big step up. The size is just right, larger than most SUV crossovers, but not a tank.

Who paid the EPA off
Got your Attention, I hope so . 2.4 AWD w/ 9000miles convenience package. Heres the deal, this car runs and drives great. Road noise I place in the top ten for quiet. Handling is very good, I like firm but nibble. The transmission while in the ECO mode hunts more than my golden retriever, I thought my toyota shifted a lot, trying to keep that ECO light on is a trick but doable why I dont know. The beige interior stains very easily DO NOT drop a french fry. The fuel mileage indicator on the dash says what I thinks its supposed to 18-20city 26-29 on the highway. With a average of 22.5 to24. Junk Engines and Transmissions
Bought a slightly used Kia with like 40,000 at 87000 miles the engines went out we took it in to get it replaced and at first they where going to replaced it because we bought it used. After fighting with them they said they would replaced it. It took 6 moths to get it fixed. Then 7 months later the transmission went out on it. And of course they are not going to replaced it because it now is barley over 100000 miles. So thats costing us $2400 to replace and its is a used transmissions. This year of Kia is junk.Well at least the 4cyl ones are can not speak of the 6cyl engines.

Really like this car but with minor tweaks it would be great
I really like this car. It looks good and the ride is smooth and very quite. The V6 has good get up and go. I test drove the 4 cylinder GTL and felt it lacked power. This model comes fully loaded and has great features. It doesn't however get the stated gas mileage. I get around 22 in the city and 24 - 25 highway. I recommend this car for the price and the warranty but it would be an awesome car with a few tweaks.
