Used 2011 Kia Sorento LX 4dr SUV (2.4L 4cyl 6A) Consumer Reviews
Safety feature needed
My wife and I love our new car and love the features as well. The one thing that caught our attention sre the door locks. Being previous Honda owners, we are used to the door NOT unlocking while in the car. In the KIA you can pull the lever and the door opens. I have not seen any of the editors or others comment on this.
Not bad
I like the interior space, the handling and the filtered cabin air. We just did our first trip with the KIA sorento 4 cylinder FWD automatic. It is rough riding compared to our Chrysler town and country. I am really disappointed with the gas mileage. It claims to get 29 mpg (4 cylinder FWD) but I only averaged 25mpg on our trip. I used cruise control and was on 4 lane highways all the way (508 miles). With All my other cars I got 2 or 3 mpg more than the window sticker. Perhaps the EPA estimates have been "readjusted".

Just got it
FWD LX with TRS, CPK, auto-dimming mirror and floor mats all under 20400+TTL Seems like a good deal. Car performs well. It is much noisier compared to a chevy traverse. Pick up is OK giver a 4 cylinder. Not much more to report at this time.
Very solid
The ride is smooth. Some might complain about going over bumps, but in reality, who drives on bumps all the time? When on the freeway and going 75 mph, it is very smooth. On streets and avenues, the ride is comfortable. I have driven in BMW's X5, Lexus and the ride difference is minuscule. I'm not interested in a bunch of bells and whistles, I want a good radio, blue tooth and iPod hookup. And it has all of that. This SUV gets me from point (a) to point (b). In reality, that is all you want.
Beyond Expectation
Right after purchase we took it on a road trip to S. Lake Tahoe. The handling was very smooth and controlled even in the twists and turns of the mountain roads. The 4 cylinder engine performed beyond my expectations. It accelerated smoothly and passing at high speeds was a breeze. The engine's uphill performance was surprising; I had no trouble climbing the 7,000+ foot grade to Lake Tahoe. Round trip-the Sorento delivered an unbelievable 30 MPG. This was a mix of highway, twisting mountain roads, and around the City of S. Lake Tahoe. Overall, I'm very please with my purchase.
