Used 2011 Kia Sorento LX 4dr SUV (2.4L 4cyl 6A) Consumer Reviews
Beyond Expectation
Right after purchase we took it on a road trip to S. Lake Tahoe. The handling was very smooth and controlled even in the twists and turns of the mountain roads. The 4 cylinder engine performed beyond my expectations. It accelerated smoothly and passing at high speeds was a breeze. The engine's uphill performance was surprising; I had no trouble climbing the 7,000+ foot grade to Lake Tahoe. Round trip-the Sorento delivered an unbelievable 30 MPG. This was a mix of highway, twisting mountain roads, and around the City of S. Lake Tahoe. Overall, I'm very please with my purchase.
Outstanding, Made in USA ~ Sorento
We've had five Kias in my family and our new 2011 is the latest. Nothing compares to the value and quality of this vehicle. The standard ABS, Stability and Traction control, the six speed A/T and the power of the 175 HP 4cyl engine, make it an even a better value! The standard roadside assistance (5yr/60k) make it a great choice for my wife to drive...

Early Adopter
Purchased 2010 Kia LX and it is an impressive vehicle for price. Owned two Hyundai Santa Fe's and compared what Kia offered for money and it was no comparison. Surprised 4 cylinder had similar power to my V6 Santa Fe. I live in hilly area and the 4 climbs as well as old V6. To early to tell is reliability will be as good as Hyundai, but since they are same company I assume it will be comparable. Vehicle drives sporty but feels solid and bigger than my Santa Fe. Will see long term mileage. Got my Sorento Lease for less than my 2007 Santa Fe with no money down. Take a look I'm sure you will be impressed with value for money. Would get a V6 if you tow things.
safety in question
The suspension is very bad, it sounds like an old car that needs new struts and shocks when you go over a rough road. I took it back to the dealer and they said that's the way it is. I question the safety because of the suspension. I wish i could something different because of the safety issue.
More fun than it looks
I bought a new Sorento because it is built in my county in Kia's first American plant. The styling is head- turning and a far cry from the basic designs that Kia first brought to this country. The interior is modern and has a premium feel, especially with all the controls on the steering- wheel, including Bluetooth (which is standard). The test drive on a winding road showed the car to be agile but never. The 2.4L engine also had plenty of guts to easily complete any two- lane overtaking moves asked of it. The three-hour ride home from the dealer revealed the car to also be an excellent long distance car as well. Fun to drive + Long distance comfort + lots of gadgets as standard = a great car.
