Love My Jeep!

I traded my Explorer for a Liberty and I have not been disappointed. While the Explorer scared me sometimes, the Jeep is a beauty. At 5'3" and 110lbs, I feel like my car matches me now more so than the Explorer did. I love the fact that I can manage my music from the steering wheel while I drive. Absolutely love the heated seats. unlike my husband's Corvette! ha, ha. Please buy one people, they are truly fun to drive.

2005 Liberty has been in shop 3 times

My 2005 Liberty Diesel has been in the shop 3 times for powertrain problems and on this last time the transmission completely went out. I only have 30k miles on the Jeep. This is a major concern for me as I work at Daimler Chrysler in a transmission plant. The first vehicle I ever bought was a Jeep and I've stuck with them for past 9 years however after these problems I am strongly considering a new brand....

bad cyclinder heads

At 14000 miles 3.7L needed new cyclinder heads due to use of regular gas. From 2006 forward Jeep decided you need to use higher grade (more expensive) gas! How could all the geniuses at the Billion Dollar design center not know they designed an engine that needed Hi-Test Gas?

I love this Liberty truck and it is wonderful drive and easier to park than midsize trucks. If you are single you should buy compact suv to save space; if with kids that's different.

I have experienced a 50mph shudder which we believe is a flaw in the design of the torque converter, since day 1. DC has finally admitted to me that they know about the problem but can do NOTHING for it. So there, I'm STUCK with a vehicle that has problems that I can't fix and will have trouble selling. The worst part is that I LOVE this thing! I just want it to run right. Strongly considering a trade to the new 4-door 2007 Wrangler with the 6 speed manual.
