It was time for a new car and couldn’t decide what i wanted. I did my research on the Jeep Grand Cherokee and knew this was the car for me. I just bought it and after owning it for a week i have no complaints. The drive is smooth, interior looks great, enough space for the family, and chick magnet! So far so good. I’ll post more as time goes on.

The lease purchase process went well. I love the look of the upland package. What I am less than happy about is some of the service related components when getting the vehicle prepared for pickup and related accessories.

Waited a lifetime, buonly almost got what I wante

I waited to empty nest before finally getting my Jeep and I went all out when I finally got it. My first request was whatever Jeep I got, had to have four-wheel drive and had to have a knob or button for me to control the four-wheel drive! I will never understand a two-wheel drive cheap but I digress, I test drove different starting with the Jeep Cherokee got taken by the Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I frankly don't remember which ones had the four-wheel-drive knob and which ones did not but according to the checklist the one I purchased had it. The final two vehicles the only difference was supposedly white or velvet red test drove. Of course the velvet red one and it is an absolutely amazing color 3 years later I still get compliments on the color. Too often with an SUV I felt cornered with leather seats I don't like leather seats. Jeep has the perfect combination of cloth material almost feel suede trimmed in leather! Absolutely perfect. Floor mats in a jeep need to be the weather resistant ones not black fuzzy carpet that shows everything! Jeep needs to partner with WeatherTech for floor mats and cargo mat it would sure help keep the value up on your Jeep because things wouldn't be getting spilled and stained in it. My Jeep is very comfortable it has everything you would want and more than you will probably ever use . As with all Bluetooth cell phone connections it's hit-and-miss ! So is every other vehicle I've ever seen . The in-car system is called you connect and the screen is easily usable and easily readable for driver and passenger. The sound system is superior two other SUVs I've had . Of course it's annoying that you have a trial package on Sirius XM , Sirius Guardian . Bottom line is I ended up with apps on my phone for Sirius XM, Uconnect and my Mopar. Then when I was trying to renew my stuff I realized that I had multiple different packages and I never renew to satellite radio because I never use it. But I would had to renew Uconnect and Sirius Guardian and not long after that they started selling another package or the remote start, Etc from your phone. My Jeep came with the key fob and remote start already but at work sometimes the key fob didn't go the distance where the remote start on the phone always did. Adults can ride in the back plenty of legroom! It is a 3/4 and 1/4 split on the back seat which I absolutely love, but the 1/4 didn't contain toddler 3 in 1 car state that was from the time I could turn her facing forward through 6 years. If you were taking a lot of stuff with you it made sense to lay down the 3/4 side and leave a small seat with car seat in it however that was difficult without having car seats that are funny angle so you ended up losing a lot of space by putting the carseat on the 3/4 side and folding down the 1/4 side. Just bad planning it only needed to be two inches wider! We never ran storage oh cargo space for vacations or for example Costco runs! I think there is Plenty of cargo room but keep in mind roof racks of course don't come with it! Seriously all SUVs need to come with roof rack. In the end I did not get my knob for controlling my four-wheel drive. Which could have easily getting fixed at the dealership when I discovered it within 30 minutes of leaving the dealership. The salesman / sales manager simply said oh I must have the wrong checklist. And basically the depreciation for that 30 minutes would have screwed up my loan. It was a crock of crap and every time I've needed to go into four-wheel drive in sand or mud I get irritated again! $60,000 I should have the vehicle exactly how I want. I've had no mechanical failures no weirdness with any of the overly abundant electronics everything works amazing. I believe we had a small recall that I honestly can't tell you what it was I don't remember. It was minor and was completed during an oil change. I don't know if they still offer it but my 2018 has a bumper to bumper warranty, lifetime and I know they were discontinuing it but a lot of models in 2018. Fifty years from now when my hood falls off they have to put a new one on it! But seriously I've almost traded to dance to be in control of my four-wheel drive mark. Worthy note we lost a starter solenoid relay, could not get one from any Auto Parts and that is three years after purchasing the vehicle it's not like it's hot off the press. Jeep could only look up the number if I have the part! Well if I had the cart I wouldn't be calling you to get the part. See how that works!

I just traded in my beloved fully loaded summit 2018 jeep grand Cherokee v8 with over 70,000 miles. This was such an incredible machine that never gave reliability concerns. The v8 power is so addicting and honestly nothing in at this price point besides the Durango with v8 can match the power , comfort, space, reliability, 4 wheel drive. My jeep also has the air suspension which always seemed to keep the nosedive in check during hard braking . I drive between 25,000-35,000 miles a year so I can attest that this is a great machine. My only negatives are in my opinion I wish the drivers seat had even more leg room since I’m over 6’1. Lastly the uconnect system is great however periodically it does freeze up and cannot be reset until after the car has been turned off for hours . I had my entire radio u connect system replaced twice and still randomly every blue moon experience the same issue. This can be especially frustrating when driving on highway trip and cannot control any radio functions and ac functions . This is not a system where you can restart car and it fixes the problem instead it has to fix it self. For this reason I traded the vehicle .
