Used 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD 4dr SUV (4.7L 8cyl 5A) Consumer Reviews
2005 Grand Cherokee
Fast and fun to drive, plenty of power, pulls a 3000 lb. boat like nothing. Gas mileage stinks even with the mds engine. i hope they come up with a retrofit for alternative fuels when they become more available. Negatives, unless you like paying for fuel don't buy the 5.7 v8. Entering the vehicle is cramped for someone tall; the angle of the windshield post is too steep and you constantly hit your head.
Finally...
A Jeep with some luxury. Ran my 97 into the ground with 200k+ miles and finally upgraded to the LTD with Hemi and all the options. Smooth, smooth ride for this heavy SUV and great power. All the features such as smartbeam and rainsense work surprisingly well. Very impressed.

Definitly an Enjoyable Car
We bought our Jeep in Dec 2004 and got the great "employee pricing"so we got the loaded Lmtd. for only 33k. The navigation has gone out - twice. Rear wiper broke off - twice. Had leather seat re-done, etc. We have had a lot of problems with the car, but the car is a luxury vehicle at an economy price. We had a BMW which required constant care, this in comparison has not been a real problem. I do think the trans. is about to go though. It's been sticking a lot lately. But really, for the amount of time I spend in the car, it has held up pretty well. The chrome rims and inferno red color get looks all the time. Money in repairs has been reasonable so far, I don't think its worse than other cars.
Engine stalling - huge saftey concern
I very much enjoy my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. It has all the features and power needed from the 4.7 liter V8. Only one huge problem, the engine stalls out on a regular basis, sometimes while driving at rated speeds. Despite every effort to resolve the issue, the local dealer can't fix it. Chrysler is well aware of a nationwide issue but hasn't released a fix.
The Best Grand Cherokee ever?
Jeep really knocked one out with this Grand Cherokee. Every aspect of this Jeep is notches above the model it replaces. Most impressive is the trucks ride and handling. Smoother and less body roll. Makes you believe you're driving something alot more expensive.
