Amazingly fun drivers car.

The back seat is small in this car if you need a large back seat stay away. Other than that this is a drivers car. The 340HP Supercharged 6 is absolutely amazing, no engine lag and none should be expected. The handling and ride are amazing as well as the E-Steering. I haven't had this much fun since the 60's when I owned a 65 Shelby Mustang. Lastly, get the HUD because it shows you the speed (as well as other things) and often times you don't realize how fast you are going. One other thing, the price is slightly higher than it's competitors, but it's so worth it, and it's a Jag! Lastly I got 32 MPG on a 150 mile road trip today without babying it when needed.

Things I would like other to know before buying: 2017 Jaguar Xe 35T: [1] I sold this car back after 7 months of ownership [2] Its SUPER CHEAP from inside, even Honda V6 is better inside [3] SKIDS while heavy acceleration. Body roll [4] 2017 Model dont have DRL (CHEAP...) [5] Even 35T premium DONT HAVE HID, have HALOGEN lights (CHEAP) [6] Resale Value is the worst [7] Its a CHEAP JAGUAR [8] Premium model dont have LUMBAR Support [9] VERY POOR out VISIBILITY, and its WORST when passenger is present [10] Dealership Support is 0.So far the WORST CAR, In my FAIR OPINION even HONDA V6 is better car, 40K+ for CHEAP CAR SAD. GOOD ABOUT IT, ITS BEST AT is [1] Great LOOKS [2] Super Acceleration [3] GREAT GAS MILEAGE [4] 5 Year Warranty including maintenance [5] Super Brakes.

brilliant balance of class and sport

Unfortunately very rare, 38,000 built world wide in 2017 across the entirety of the XE line. This car strikes a brilliant balance between subtle style and a hint of aggression. The lines all flow not drawing the eye to any one detail. I would put this just behind the Excellent E46 in what will be a timeless design. It just looks right. Inside, the materials are less than you would expect and you can tell the bean counters cut corners but it still presents nicely. A leather trimmed dash and door tops would have been welcome and where has all the wood gone? In any case the design is pleasant and the seats are very well done. Driving, They somehow pulled off a German feel and balance with a ride that is also comfortable. This car does not feel as bank vault solid as the older XJ but it sure feels more athletic and tactile. Having a economy minded diesel in a sport sedan seems an odd mix but it works great. I do wish it was as quiet, refined and smooth as my 2015 Golf TDI engine that also does not care if you top off the def yourself and has never had DPF issues that plague the LR/Jaguar engines or the timing guides and turbos. Overall, very pleasant place to spend time in. The Meridian tech package is a must as the upgraded surround sound is phenomenal. Vision package, bi xenon is pretty old at this point but works well. Dynamic suspension also a plus and AWD... I have a Prestige diesel AWD with every option checked out of sheer luck which I know is hard to find.

Stay Away! Technical Problems NOT COVERED!

This car has been broken into more times then I have fingers. One time a device was placed into my CD system. I showed the dealership a video of how it seems thieves have a duplicate key. They walk up to this car and it opens like they have they key. Later, I saw on the news any vehicle is suspectible. Because of something new called radio frequency. However, they loved to use it on this particular car in the Hamptons, NY. The CD jam wasn’t covered under warranty. I had to use my insurance deductible and the new keys to program were almost one thousand dollars each time they broke in. I could no longer keep valuables or license, registration, or insurance in the car. The police said these were taken for ID fraud. I was advised to open a P. O. Box an extra $100 every 6 months by police and my insurance company because supposedly this is how thieves obtain fake insurance cards. This car cost me $10,000 down, $400 a month and untold repair cost plus my identity was stolen. I do NOT recommend this car to anyone!
