Used 2007 Hyundai Sonata GLS 4dr Sedan (2.4L 4cyl 4A) Consumer Reviews
A very nice car at a fantastic price!
I tested the Toyota Yaris and the Camry before I purchased a 2007 GLS I4 Auto. The I4 is easy to maintain and service (change parts/spark plugs, etc.). It will save you money over the V6 in the long run. The I4 is powerful and economical. The engine compartment is well organized and the quality is high. Quiet at 70+mph on "a smooth" pavement. During my last trip, I got 37 MPG (over 90 miles, speed 60-65 MPH). This is great for an engine during the break-in period (70+mph expect 34+mpg. Mixed expect 30+mpg). 800+ miles with no problems or strange sounds.
Beautiful
I brought my Sonata brand new. I have 105,000 miles. I travel a lot between NC, VA, and MD. I have the basic model and I love my car I've only had one problem and that was the rear brakes. I have been rear ended twice at the red light and my car is great on safety. I plan to buy the 2011 as soon as I can. I also get 30 plus miles to the gallon.and for the people complaining about the tires try BF Goodrich advantages they are just as great as the Michelins. (made by Michelin I think)
A Joy to Own
Well, I have owned my Sonata gls 4cyl auto with sports package for two months now. I had shopped cars in this class from all of the manufacturers. I can say I am very pleased with the car. I haven't found a single defect that makes me want to return to the dealership for a fix. They did a fine job of manufacturing in Alabama. So far, the fuel economy has averaged city/hwy at 23 mpg--and there are a lot of hills around here. The 4cyl has demonstrated plenty of power when entering the beltway from a ramp or when climbing hills around town. Hyundai resale values will be climbing higher with this kind of craftmanship. A strong buy from me on a great car.
Don't Beleive Hyundai in what you hear
Bought car for Warranty, price, & mileage. 4 cylinder, complained about 17 mpg from date of purchase. Always got brush off about repair issues. Had 2 recalls. At 10200 miles rear brakes completely wore out. This may be why I got bad mileage.
Excellent Value
I was in the market for a new Camry or Accord when I test drove the 07 Sonata. The base GLS model had all of the features that I was looking for, was more roomy on the inside and costs a lot less money than the Honda/Toyota. The warranty is superior as well. I never thought I would own a Hyundai, but they have really stepped it up! And my Sonata was assembled in America.
