I have had this car for two years. I absolutely loved it when I first got it but that soon changed. First, the power window motor went out which the dealership replaced. Second, the alternator had to be replaced. Third, the engine had to be replaced. Fourth, the flywheel had to be replaced. I'm just waiting to see what goes out next. I called the dealership to try to trade this piece of junk and was told to come down and they would help me trade and give me the employee price. That was a joke. I purchased a lemon from them and I was stuck with it. I wouldn't recommend this car or the dealership. After reading the reviews, most people seem to be satisfied. Now I know I purchased a lemon.

We bought our Hyundai when it was a year old. We were well pleased with it until it hit about 35,000 miles. We had 4 throttle body sensors replaced under warranty. This was a tow to the dealership on each occasion. Luckily the tow was also covered under warranty. However we had the 5 sensor replaced at 80,000 miles and this was on us. Hyundai part only and the repair was $555.00. At 75,000 miles the sun visors would not stay in the up position. Even though this seems to be a common problem, Hyundai does not cover them under warranty. The cost to replace was $307. I drive my cars for years and close to 300,000 miles. Never had this much problem with my supposedly poorly built US cars.

I went to a Hyundai dealership in my area to test drive the new Sonata. After all I was thrown into the market because my 1996 chevy cavalier Z24 that i loved truly(workhorse) was getting old. besides, having my wife constantly hassling me to get a bigger family car, without the 200+ thousand milage. I've been to every dealership and brand name possible and finally, one morning something lead me out of the bed to Hyundai, after long research. i walked into the place with the mind set of leaving with the 'ol Z24 with me. A brand new inexperienced salesman, looking for his very first sale, helped me to help him on a test drive. My credit was bad. The car sold me within a matter of 15 minutes.

This is my 3rd Sonata in 10 yrs. The last one was a 02 Sonata. Had 55,000 miles on it when I traded it for the new 06 GLS Sonata. Still drove like a brand new one. Main reason for trading was the new design and the 3.3 6cyl with the dual exhaust. And ofcourse the peace of mind of having the new warranty for 6 more yrs (bumper to bumper) Very quite ride and very fast. Got the cloth seats instead of leather this time. The seats are very comfort and fit to you body. Saved alot of money by going thru this site and doing your homework on prices. Get the dealer quotes from the links off of this web site. You will save thousands before you walk into the door. Internet Sales Dept is the best way.
