Nice smaller adventure vehicle or truck
I chose the SEL with Adventure Package for a value price. Have had it about a month. What I have liked so far: Outstanding ride/handling balance. I have had a F-150, Tundra and Frontier in the past. Note of them rode or drove this well. They all drove and rode like school buses in comparison to the Santa Cruz. Comfortable seats, steering wheel, nice control layout, good very fast electronic displays. Nice small bed and tonneau cover 2.5L base engine is just fine. Acceleration is adequate. Will cruise at 80 mph on the freeway just fine. Would the turbo be more fun, probably, but for the money, this engine will do. Good gas mileage. Plenty of room for front seat passengers, including leg room. Quality feel of interior surfaces. F-150 and Tundra felt cheap by comparison in spots. What I don't like or would change: Ideally could use another couple inches of legroom in the back. The spare tire tools take up about a large portion of underseat storage under the rear seats. Stereo system lacks bass, almost none. It stalled on me once at low speed in a parking lot, have read in forums that a few others have seen this. I hope I don't see this again. Should have center arm rest in rear seats that lowers with cupholders.

Average features, can't justify the price.
Loved the vehicle's stylish body and handling. The deal breaker for me was poor trim levels. Most importantly, the rear air flow vents and rear arm rest. The only way to to get rear vents is with 40k limited trim package. No option for rear arm rest.

Santa Cruz vs Ridgeline
I decided I wanted to downsize, liked the way the Santa Cruz looked and thought I would give it a try. Two different vehicles for sure. The Pilot and the Tucson are quite different. The Santa Cruz is more catlike and agile like a small suv would be. The Ridgeline rides like the Pilot. Room and comfort reside with the Ridgeline. Agility and sporty feel reside with the Santa Cruz. I enjoy the sportiness but miss the comfort and room.
