Bad driver's seat off the lot
Bought a 2024 Palisade limited in late December 2023. Got it home and noticed that the driver's seat did not automatically extend upon exit, and that it would go forward, but did not want to extend backwards. Took it back to dealership the next day. Service ordered a new switch for the seat. Finally had appointment today (Jan 29 - over 4 weeks later). Dealer installed new switch, seat still not working, now they inform me that they may have to remove the seat on my brand new 50,000 vehicle and will call me when they figure out what is wrong. Totally unacceptable on a brand new vehicle. At least they gave me a loaner.

With ego in check, Palisade might be your answer!
In my 50 years of driving experience I have owned Lexus, Nissan, Toyota, Chevy, Dodge, and Ford SUV's. None have been better than this Hyundai Palisade. Honestly, I never thought I would ever say this about a Hyundai product, but they have proven me wrong. What led me to rethinking the brand has come from the fact that my mother in law still has a 2005 Sonata with nearly 200,000 trouble free miles, and our traded in 2021 Santa Fe Caligraphy at 50,000 trouble free miles. As a mechanic, I base most of my decisions on experience, research, and facts. The complaints that I hear about Hyundai reliability seem to stem mostly from people's lack of proper maintenance or abuse, and not manufacturers quality. Our 2025 Palisade SEL Premium is a quality vehicle. Fit and finish is on par or better than much more expensive brands, and it is superior in every way over the Santa Fe we had for sure. It's quieter, rides much smoother, more comfortable, and is much better suited for the long distance traveling we are planning for our retirement. I believe the key to happy Hyundai ownership is MAINTENANCE! In my opinion, there isn't anything else we could have purchased for the money (way under $50K) that's better.

Best overall vehicle out of 12 differe test rides
The Hyundai palisade limited edition is what we ended up choosing. We base this on testing multiple SUVs from mid-size to third row , gradually eliminate them till we got to the final three. We took our time and did this over a one month period. We took in consideration price, warranty, reliability and reviews from Edmund cars.com. We tried both domestic and foreign cars. When looking at the prices and warranty included, other vehicles seem to be 5 to $12,000 more when including a $100,000 mile warranty. We also wanted a vehicle that would tow at least 3500 lbs. About the car, The ride is quiet and very comfortable. the information center is easy to access and simple. one of the things that most impressed us was the safety features that were included in it. The second roll captain seats are just like the front seats they can move forward and backwards up and down and recline. The back roll climate control is also nice. one feature that stuck out was the ability to use your car mike to talk to people in the backseat over the speakers. Grandkids sometimes claim they can't hear LOL. the power liftgate and back is nice because it has a no touch walk-up feature. with the third row seats up the space is adequate but with them down it's very good and you could easily pack for a nice camping trip. Mileage is a little better than it stated. Most of the other vehicles had four cylinders with turbos the palisade has a V6 engine which gets equal to or better mileage as the rest of the vehicles we looked at. Being naturally aspirated the the engine takes off a little slower but makes up for it at the higher ends. It is also very quiet. The vehicle has all-wheel drive and several driving options. We've gotten as high as 31 mpg on the highway usually 28 mpg and an average of about 24. The overall interior design and comfort is wonderful. Hyundai gave you the conveniences you need. We only put on about 2,000 MIles so far so I cannot testify on reliability of the vehicle other than what I know From research. looking at older vehicles that seem to hold their value well and finding a used one under 3 years old isn't easy. The areas I feel that Hyundai needs improvement. the space in the car doors is small and most vehicles have a spot for a drink in the car door. Another one is the app that connects your car to your phone. From what we can see if your car alarm goes off you will not know unless you walk up to your vehicle and then the lights will blink a few times. the alarm is pretty sensitive also. It would be nice to know if the vehicle alarm was triggered and even the location like some of the other vehicles we have. With the key fobs in the new vehicles, any previous theft problems appear to be fixed as it was one of our concerns. But Hyundai should take it a step further by including it on the app. We feel that they could offer a better selection of colors like some of them in their Santa Fe XRT line. We even considered the Xrt but it only had one trim option. If it had amore trims availible option . In the long run the palisade just was the best choice!

Big Smoothie
For it's size, it's surprisingly smooth and quiet. And the technology it provides really makes a difference.
