Used 2010 Hyundai Elantra Consumer Reviews
suspension problems
Into the dealership 3 times with under 1000 miles for suspension noise in front left. Adjusted twice and replaced strut and mount on third visit. Better but still makes popping and cracking noise on bumps more noticeable when turning. Dealer has been great even provided a free loaner but now claims the problem is fixed. I guess I will just turn up the radio - kind of sad for a new car. Also, living in the Buffalo area a temp gauge would be Nice. Over all a good car for the money and warranty but you really are just getting that, nothing extra.
9 months into it
I now have about 16k on the car, over 100 mile daily commute. I ask a lot of the car and it meets my needs. It has plenty of pep. I can get to / cruise at 80-85 no problem. I just got over 32 m.p.g. for the first time, slowed down used cruise, plenty roomy - reliable, seats have improved. It does not glide or float down the road like my 08 Sonata 4 cyl but I had my 2002 Elantra 8 years 193k, you can't go wrong with a 2010 Elantra not as pretty as the 11 but for about $13,500 c'mon auto, cruise,ac etc. - average about 30 m.p.g.
Big Mistake
Tried trading after 1000 miles. Depreciated 25% plus. Rough ride, hard suspension, noise from rear. 25.8 MPG HW. uncomfortable in back seat. look around and compare comfort. Drive on an uneven road. Great Heat/AC, radio, sunroof. Drives well in snow/ice. Looking for a trade or sale. Little help from dealer.
Great car for the price
Great interior. Blue lights at night are cool. Handles great. Seat material may be a problem even with their Scotch guard. Very quiet and great radio. Love XM radio. XM needs to lower their price on monthly charges. If you call them they will have special offers to reduce the monthly price. Service great. Great paint . Slow down and bumps wont be a problem.
Very Satisfied
Quiet ride at all speeds. Comfortable seating front & rear. The trunk is quite large and the rear seat backs fold easily for maximum space. A great value!
