review really isn't for shoppers, but for the manufacturer. Please bring back my station wagon. Mine has a little over 100k miles on it and is still the best car I've ever owned. The body gave up the ghost and is held together with duck tape and flex steel but who cares. It takes me wherever I need to go and has never failed to amaze me on how much cargo it carries. Please, return it to the assembly line! I've been waiting for Hyundai.....can't wait much longer...went to the auto show and there were many small station wagons...Subaru Impreza comparable for size not price. Years later and My Black Beauty is still on the road. I test drove the Subaru, uncomfortable and didn't like the drive. Test drove the VW Golf Sport Wagon. Little longer, little wider, but comfortable and a nice ride, but the not the price. Getting dispirit. Please Hyundai help, I've even considered, having mine rebuilt from the tires up. Maybe Danny Count from Counting Cars would help? Sorry to say my Hyundai is rolling on its last wheels. Needs $1600 to replace the whole fuel system. I just can't justify sending that much on a 20 year old car. Test drove the Elantra Hatchback, closest choice to my wagon. Grateful for the service my wagon has given me.

I Am Up And Down With My Car, But I Love It!
I actually have an automatic. I bought this car completely on a whim, one because I was pressured to, and two, because it would have been my first car and I had recently got my license. The car ran great during the first year I had it, then I started noticing some transmission issues, but they are an easy but costly fix. I only had to replace the spark plugs and wires. I bought the car at 126k miles, and I now have 144k on it and it still runs like a charm. Both windows in the back have a shot motor, and the interior isn't the best, but I have driven this car everywhere and it still does me good.

Nothing but problems
I have owned my Hyundai for two years (this month), and I have had nothign but problems. The car is in the shop at least every 3 months. I have already had to get 2 igintion coils replaces, the transmittions replaced (and it's going bad again), the catalitic converter replaced, the driver window fell off, the blower motor replaced. I got better gas milage in my '79 Ford LTD than this car after the first 3,000 miles. I WILL be getting a new car before the warrenty is up. Thank goodness for the warrenty!
I [heart] my Hyundai!
This is the second Hyundai I've owned (first was an Excel). Bought it used 6 years ago and haven't had a major issue, just routine maintenance. The one thing that I would note with Hyundais is that some minor issues do crop up-- like, the driver's side power window is out of alignment, the lid to the storage compartment b/w the seats broke off, the front passenger door is a little tough to open no matter how much it's lubricated. Like I said, all MINOR issues. It's a VERY reliable vehicle and I would DEFINITELY buy an Elantra again.
