2004 Honda Pilot Navigator
Just purchased this car in the last couple of weeks. Rides very smoothly for an SUV. Great interior space for both passengers and cargo. Love the navigation system.

A great SUV
I upgraded from the CRV because it didn't quite have enough room or capability to take a family of four+ on vacation, or even on a long weekend, easily. The Pilot has that capability and much more. It is an excellent cross- country cruiser but also fine around town for hauling kids or just stuff. It is not an ideal commuter but its tight turn radius, compliant suspension, good sightlines and medium size makes it a very tolerable in traffic and city parking garages. It can carry more people and stuff than the Odyssey and get just as good gas mileage as any mimivan. It's got getupandgo! It is never phased by any weather it's seen. The navsystem is really good.
Best snow vehicle ever driven
I drive the Pilot from "The OC", up to Lake Arrowhead,(elav 6000'), twice per week. It climbs the mountain effortlessly, handles great, and has outperformed my toyota pickup 4x4, 3 suburban 4x4's, and audi quattro in the snow !!!
Disapointed in the Honda Pilot Quality
In the last 12 months I have had my Honda Pilot in to replace the rear drive unit (entire axle), rear spoiler (missing gasket and radio (broken cd button). We have always been a Honda familty but this latest round of Honda Quality has been very dissapointing. It is no wonder that Honda has slipped in thier overall consumer quality ratings (at first I did not belive this). In addition, the Navigation system has very few roads when compared to the Hertz Neverlost System (available in rental cars)and other OEM products. We are at the point where we believe that the premium we paid for the Honda name was not worth it when compared to other vehicles.
