Used 2003 Honda Element EX AWD 4dr SUV (2.4L 4cyl 4A) Consumer Reviews
Great Box!
I've had a blast with the Element. The versatility has been excellent. I've never owned a vehicle that so many people have wanted to see the inside. Runs down the highway at 80mph without a problem. Handles great!
Worth the Investment
Great car for my wife and with 2 children. Easy to get in and out and overall a very safe feeling.

In My Element
I require a car to be more than a mode of transportation; it must be functional. As an over 55 male that purchased a new 1989 Dodge Grand Caravan and drove it 250000 miles until the mechanical problems overwhelmed it I appreciate versatility in carrying both people and objects. The Element has this flexibility: I can transport my non-driving relatives; I can carry furniture; I can carry paving stones; I can carry recyclables; I can carry building materials. The style of the car has intrigued many people: I have met numerous people while refueling; they ask if it's one of those "hybrids" and then ask to look closer. Comments have been very positive.
Baby Hummer? Is what we are asked...
It was love at first sight when I saw this car sitting in a mall on display!!! When test driving the automatic we did note that the car was sluggish. When we drove the manual transmission it moved like a sports car. I am a 5'11" female with tall (still growing kids)so the roominess is great! Having pets and sodas is no problem with NO carpet! And, I loved dressing it up with the options I chose, rather than were chosen for me!!! One drawback is that when you have kids who have to still sit in the backseat (because of age) and have to enter from the passenger's side, it is a chore to get those doors closed. This car is definitely more driver friendly.
So funky it's cute, like a lil o turtle
I purchased my Element about a month ago, I had to have it. It's been great so far other then the mileage which everone is complainig about. I think the design is fantastic, funky, orginal, FUNCTIONAL, and just down right cool. It's like a modern day Woody. It drives much better then I imagined, more like a car then an SUV/truck. The pick up/power is great especially for an in-line four. I get lots of attention in it, mostly positive. In summary this vehicle is the most refreshing and original thing out there right now. Great job Honda, other auto designers have a thing or two to learn from you.
