Used 2013 Honda CR-V EX-L 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl 5A) Consumer Reviews
Terrible Full Beam Headlights and Cold in winter
I bought the 2013 CR-V because of how much I like my 2010 Odyssey. There is absolutely no comparison because the CR-V is so inferior to the Odyssey (sadly). Problems: 1. Full Beam Headlights are hopeless. The area in the immediate front of the car and at the sides is far too dark. It's almost as if the headlights point straight ahead and are elevated. It's a road hazard driving at night in the country where there are no city lights. Honda dealer replaced bulbs but no difference. Honda and Dealer simply deny there is a problem. 2. Car temperature inside is unbearable when temp drops below 20 degrees F.
Honda CR-V AWD "Creak - Rattle - Vehicle"
Many owners report mysterious front-end "Creaking" sound, which dealers, mechanics or collision repair people cannot find or fix. Mine is no different. After spending more thab $5,000 to repair front end, the creak is still there. Honda obviously mis-designed this vehicle, but aptly named it a CR-V, an acronym for "Creak and Rattle Vehicle. The transmission also is lack-luster, omitting manual electronic shifting through four gears, useful on mountain roads (Toyota includes this vital feature). The vehicle is also under-powered and gets worse mileage than it's Toyota competitor which boasts a powerful V6. I know so much about both of these vehicles, because we own both. Do yourself a favor and avoid this mysterious Creaking wagon, which even Honda cannot figure out.

Terrible for long distance drives
I like the fact that it has decent tech, if you ignore the really bad quality backup camera. Driving around town it is fairly peppy and handles decently. I hate its highway driving characteristics. It sways terribly with a slight crosswind. The steering is numb at speed. The seats are flat and lack support. The noise vibration and harshness is much worse than Hondas reputation would lead you to expect. I really do not like the car. I would gladly trade some reliability for a more tolerable ride.

Excellect purchase
I have had no real issues with this car. I have normal maintenance. replaced brakes, tires and battery etc. No warranty issues. It was my first non-American car purchased and have no regrets. I will buy another.
