Road Warrier

I bought my CR-V two months ago and use it for my company car. I travel 1000 miles (NC, SC and GA) a week. I am 6'1 and a little over 200lbs. I do own two other Honda's (05 Pilot 190k miles, and 07 Accord 120k) so I may be a little biased. The CR-V is the best automobile I have ever owned for my use. The power is more than adequate. I am averaging 27.2 miles a gallon over 6k miles so far. The initial seat comfort is a little harsh but, within a month of driving regularly, has softened. The steering is dead on and tight. I haven't felt any of the "vibrations" I read about in other reviews. Maybe I've just been lucky but I have never had an issue with my Honda's.

Reliable, good fuel economy, excellent overall value. Update - traded the car in for a new CR-V to get all the new safety and convenience features. It's even better than the last one. Update #2 - just lots more miles of trouble-free, happy motoring - Honda style! Update #3 - the trouble-free love affair continues with this CR-V as well as the other two CR-Vs in the family.

love my CRV

bought mine in 8-2011 and have 10k on it already. I love driving it, it rides really nice. It is smooth and quiet. I was surprised to learn that the tires are only good for 20-25k. and how cheesy the seats are, they are hard, and a bit uncomfortable. lack padding and contour. cargo and gas mileage are great. It is good in the snow. I am spooked after reading 2 reviews about the engine bolts sheering off. that is a big worry for me now. hopefully it is not a common issue. overall I love my crv and its safety ratings. also the roominess is great. Im 5'10 & husband 6'5' and we fit & love it.

A good car, not great.

6500 miles on the odo. Made it through our first northern Idaho winter with no problems. With winter tires we were able to get around almost as if there was no snow or ice on the roads. Gas mileage has been acceptable but not great, averaging 20mpg in mostly town driving. Other than the winter performance, I find it difficult to get very fired up about this car. The transmission shifts up and down abruptly, the interior is noisy and as mentioned below, the headlights are terrible. We've also had some issues with the sunroof refusing to close. I have no doubt the car will start every time and get me where I need to go but some details need to be addressed.

Deficiencies in the CR-V

2011 Honda CR-V EX-L 4dr SUV AWD w/Navigation (2.4L 4cyl 5A)

I have had the car about a month. The drive is nice, fuel economy is reasonable for a CR-V and the interior space is more than adequate. However I find the Honda information on the CR-V EXL with Navigation deliberately deceptive. Two examples ; (a) there is no caller ID available on the unit with the Navigation system even though the technology guide that comes with the car says there is. (b) Honda says there are "heated driver and passenger seats". Well that is true but they don't say that the driver side seat has a heated bottom and back where as the passenger side has only a heated butt. Big difference ! Hope there's a law suit so Honda is punished for these deceptive practices.
