Little Car That can
Had it a week. 2022 EX Sedan. Reeeeed. Now I’m 67. Retiring looking for good car no issues to retire. I traded Cadillac CT4. Loved it. Just background. So made the deal MSRP plus 4000 add ons I didn’t pay for standard alarm mudflats wheel locks weatherproof mats sealant and 6 years of oil changes. Happy with price. This little car doesn’t look sporty but it scoots along. Tight around corners. Got 41 MPG going to work and back. Mostly freeway. But it does what is says it will. Safety stuff kind of freaked me out on the freeway. Felt like dynamic cruise control wasn’t going to stop in time. I waited it did . Maybe a little later than I liked. All in all a great car.

2022 arrives
No doubt this will be an amazing car technologically, & otherwise. Honda never disappoints. I've owned many, including a 10th gen coupe, past civic Si's, preludes, & even a CRX. But the body to me is pedestrian. Looks like 1/2 of the other cars on the road now. In a word, for me: boring. OK you can all jump all over me now, but this is the way I see it. Saw a sedan in battleship grey at the local dealership. Thought it might look better in the flesh. Nope. Sorry folks. But they'll sell like mad! Because they're Hondas.
Turbo and Fuel Efficient!! The best!!
Enjoying the responsive acceleration and average of 33 mph.

Good, solid car, but...
My 2022 Cicvic EX is a good solid car with just one irksome drawback: the "road noise" (some call it "cabin noise") is quite pronounced. You instantly hear the difference in street pavement grades and the highway noise is REALLY annoying! I wish I had paid more attention to this critique point by Edmunds and 2 other car-rating services before I made my purchase. I test-drove the Civic in mid-day traffic, so there was a lot of ambient noise all around me and I didn't notice said road noise at that time. I drive to work very early in the morning, when it's very quiet, and I can hear every inch of the streets I traverse...all the way to work. You can even hear the brakes engaging! And, no, the radio can't cover up the noise. It's a shame, because, other than that, the Civic handles well and gets great gas mileage. But it sounds like you are riding in a smaller, MUCH CHEAPER vehicle. You gotta add some kind of sound-mitigating materials, Honda. Annoyed and disappointed.
