Used 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid 4dr Sedan (1.3L 4cyl gas/electric mild hybrid 5M) Consumer Reviews
I like it
My mpg avg for 4000+ miles (B trip odo) is 52! Driving locally @ 60-65mph and normal in-town driving is 53-55 mpg! Only unusual maintenance was recall for fuel computer reboot. I Like my Civic Hybrid 5sp! Total mileage since new is 116xxx and brakes are still about 50+%. I wish Honda still offered the manual tranny, I'd buy a new one with navi option. The only downside is the lack of power, but I didn't buy it for power. You have to plan ahead to pass. Going up long grades can be slow.
Cross-country Gas Miser
I recently took an 8,850 mile business trip. I carried about 200 pounds of luggage, and up to 300 pounds of boxed materials. I weigh about 210. I averaged 46.5 MPG, and had two tanks through at over 60 MPG. About 2/3 of the trip was on the freeway, and 1/3 in crowded two-lane traffic. There was absolutely no drama in the drive. nice little car
excellent handing. NO mechanical problems. comfortable ride (seating). roomy back seat. good vision (except when it rains, water tends to stay on rear window). Seats are very low, 6way power-seating would be great. NO place for handbag. Beige color I chose is very hard for others to see, daytime running lights are necessary. So nice to get a $2000 tax rebate.
It's Great
I had forgotten just how much fun driving a car could be. I love the performance and the fuel economy makes my gas cost half as much as other cars. I can get 600 miles on one tank of gas. With gas prices skyrocketing the way they are, I am sure glad I decided to by my Honda Civic Hybrid.
My Honda
I have enjoyed my Honda. The fuel economy has been very good. I always would like to see it do better than 35- 45/gal. It drives nice and looks cute on the road. I see a lot of them around. I am looking to trade it in for the latest Honda Civic Hybrid. I love them!
