Used 2004 Honda Accord EX V-6 4dr Sedan (3.0L 6cyl 5A) Consumer Reviews
Highly Overrated
This is my first time owning a Honda, so far I have owned three Toyotas. I wanted to try something different, based on Honda's reputation and reviews. The car though is just OK, not at all "the best family sedan", as it is touted. Even with the V-6 engine, the acceleration is subpar. Where are the 240 horses? Probably sleeping! The transmission gets confused often, especially when exiting sharp turns and on inclines. I guess the reviewers should spend more than one day with a car before declaring it the best. How about the short 3yrs/36000 miles warranty? If the car is so reliable (supposedly), how come Honda does not stand by it for a longer time?
great car to own ,above the rest
i love the car and i think i made the right choice, but i wish it could of handled more like a family sport sedan ,especialy on turns, and pickup.for a 240hp engin it should have a quicker respons. i had a 2001 maxima se and it was the same hp but the response was a lot quicker, and it handled better on turns than the acccord, but no where close to the workmenship of the accord, inside and outside, and comfortabilityis unmatched by a car of it's class.

Love it !!!!! But has a few quirks....
Performs like a champ in hot or cold weather, rain or shine. Comfy, but not plushy. Not happy with the radio setup because the big knob in the middle makes it impossible to change out with a 3rd party rig. Gas mileage is fair in town and okay/good on the highway. Backseat hold 3 squirmy kids just fine. Solid, dependable car. Would buy another Honda.
Nice Car
The car has excellent build quality. The audio quality is impressive. It's handling & acceleration are very good. Very smooth transmission. It is quiet inside. Tire thump is a little intrusive on bumpy or concrete roads. There were no options for interior colors (would have prefered gray).
Switched from a Used RL to a new Accord
Have had the car two weeks. I don't understand how Honda can make such an exceptional car for $23K. I also own an Odyssey so I am biased : )
