Used 2004 Honda Accord EX V-6 4dr Sedan (3.0L 6cyl 5A) Consumer Reviews
Not all they're cracked up to be!
I'm surprised by the inconsistency between magazine reviews of this vehicle and actual real world driving. For the most part, it is a well built vehicle, though far from the perfect they're said to be. Interior is plagued by multiple annoying rattles, especially in the doors, back shelf and the console bin cover. Stereo would be fine if only I could play it louder, but the vibrations it causes keep me from doing so. Dealer has yet to correct. Engine is outstanding, though. And while most cars grow on you after a while styling- wise, this one looks less attractive the longer I have it.
Love my Honda
Love it! The only thing I would change is the moonroof controls. The passager needs to have access also. The door locks. Passager again can't do much. The seat heater are to easy to hit by mistake, need thing you know you have a hot bottom and it 90 degrees out side. Love the back seat being able to lie down and use for larger cargo. Love the quite ride. Seems like a big car inside even tho it not. A dream to ride around and view the world around us. Nice big windows. Easy to see when backing up. Never thought we would buy a Honda but sure glad we did. It's jus right for us. It's a keeper!!

The Best Value on the Road
Honda really did their homework improving the current generation of Accord. Build quality is excellent, materials unsurpassed for a sub-$30000 car. Great content for the $$. Plenty of power, all of the creature comforts including the best seats available in an affordable family sedan. Stereo has been improved by a wide margin over the previous generation. Bravo to Honda for marketing to the future by making XM Satellite radio standard on the EX V6. Could not be happier with this car!
Worst Car I Ever Bought.....
I caution anyone considering buying this car. I bought the car brand new relying on Honda's history. The transmission suddenly blew up at 80K. I did every scheduled maintenance and more on the car. I contact the Honda dealership where I bought it and they offered to replace the transmission for $5500 or sell me a new 2009. I walked out of the dealership, sold the car and bought a BMW. Never again will I buy a HONDA.
V-6 Accord Ride Comfort
Although I do not like the exterior design, the interiors are well appointed -- and to me, luxurious. Handling is satisfactory; but the comfort of ride is by far the worst of all cars that I have owned -- one feels every bump and road defect at both high and low speeds. I keep thinking that something is terribly wrong with this car, rated so highly by critics. This is our first Honda; and it has been a disappointment because of its ride. Obviously, Honda has not solved the problem of a bigger engine (V-6) with front wheel drive and its current suspension system.
