Accord is overrated, overpriced, underpowered and suffers in reputation from highly aggressive dealer sales tactics. Honda cut a lot of cheap corners by omitting basic items that should be standard on a car this expensive - automatic door locks; heated side mirrors; automatic dimming rear view mirror; auto cutoff for rear defroster. It would not have cost $200 to add these items, yet all were left off to try and bump buyers into the "Acura" version of the same car for $10k more. I get irritated every time I drive it. Alleged 240 hp is laughable exaggeration. I've had four cylinder cars that had more pep.

A few items short of being perfect

The car has a great, quiet ride. The V6 is smooth and powerful, and the gas mileage is very good, even with the V6. The radio controls are complicated. Honda dropped the ball on some items, considering the EX V6 is the top of the line. There are NO anti glare or heated mirrors. The Canadian version of the Accord has heated mirrors. Apparently someone at Honda doesn't think winters can be just as cold and snowy in the USA. The controls on the steering wheel are not lit, making them useless at night. The headlights do not turn on automatically. While these items may seem small, they are safety items so buyer beware.

My 2003 Accord EXV6 is a Lemon

I am not happy with my EXV6 or DCH Paramus Honda. Water has leaked in from the front windshield which was replaced twice. Water also leaked into the trunk because a rear body seam wasn't sealed properly. The front passenger window mechanism also had to be replaced, due to loud noise. There was an interior squeaking sound that turned out to be improper welding of the panels under the car, it was rewelded.

Love it! The only thing I would change is the moonroof controls. The passager needs to have access also. The door locks. Passager again can't do much. The seat heater are to easy to hit by mistake, need thing you know you have a hot bottom and it 90 degrees out side. Love the back seat being able to lie down and use for larger cargo. Love the quite ride. Seems like a big car inside even tho it not. A dream to ride around and view the world around us. Nice big windows. Easy to see when backing up. Never thought we would buy a Honda but sure glad we did. It's jus right for us. It's a keeper!!
