You will be in awe when you first sit in this car. The beauty, style and all the amazing features this car has to offer will suck you right in. The drive is so smooth and quiet. I’m in love with my GV 80!

The looks, the fit and finish, the interior details are excellent, but the autopilot is out of this world!! Valet Service is outstanding, excellent, extraordinaire.. 4WD great, suspension great, brakes great, rims brake dust: none!! My rims were not getting black, cleaning them was so easy.. massage seats great, leather quality great, engine great, MPG good. Paint quality excellent. Best car I ever own for every day, I got almost my investment back after 17000 miles, traded for a Tesla X plaid..

Handles well. Rides comfortable. Loved it until HAD TO upgrade GPS System. Since upgrade weather system inoperable and voice commands not working. I have been to the dealership four times to reload system with same results. All the Connected Services department can recommend is to keep reloading. They have no idea how to fix. Extremely frustrating. Am looking into to see if lemon law is applicable. Would not recommend buying until they figure out how their system works.

I’m giving it one start right now because I’m pissed. I bought the car a week ago. First problem we noticed but wasn’t sure if it was normal was the RPM would rev when driving- second issue was I kept getting warning notifications in regards to the the park/drive dial while driving. Now- my car won’t start. The battery works as the electronics are turning on. It’s also saying it cannot detect the both key fobs. Brand new car.. and we can’t even turn the damn thing on.. Hopefully Genesis replaces it. I don’t want to spend money and continue to drive a car that is already unreliable for it to be bandaid.

I haven't had my 2021 3.5T Prestige for long and it isn't perfect, but it is a real luxury SUV that doesn't force me to deal with the local Teutonic service crowd. The engine is smooth and powerful, and interesting enough the manufacturer specifies any grade of unleaded fuel - the only proviso in the manual being that you get a bit more power when running 'premium'. Lots of tech in this vehicle and the manual doesn't really make the process of understanding where everything is as simple as I'd like - a bit of searching on YouTube and I came across a well made consumer's video that walked me through it all and now it is pretty much second nature. All is not, however perfect in GV80-land. My vehicle's sound system (by Lexicon) sounds very nice, however the sub-woofers don't work and one of the tweeters doesn't tweet. The dealer will look at it next week when it goes in to have the atrociously expensive winter wheel package installed (I went for the 19" wheels, because I find the 22" summer wheels to give the vehicle a harsh ride over bad roads). Two other issues with the sound system are that the Bluetooth media channel and the AM radio have poor quality sound - the good news is that the AM radio station I listen to happens to be available on an HD radio channel and if I want to, I can tune it in on the Iheartradio app - though the latter probably would use the substandard Bluetooth connection. I will try it at some point And people at headquarters, if you are going to supply Android Auto and Apple Carplay, which, in their wired configurations require special Gen 3.2 USB cables, provide the cables with the vehicle. For my part I am waiting to receive a wireless adapter that I've ordered which obviates the need for the cable and makes the inductive charging actually useful. Certain things do bother me; No tech is perfect and that applies to the GV80 as much as anything else. As far as I can determine there is no way to disable to crash mitigation system and twice the vehicle mistook shadows on the street for vehicles and initiated the 'imminent crash' protocol, beeping loudly, tightening the seat belts and mashing the brakes. The good news it that no one was tailgating me either time. The manufacturer has chosen to use HD radio for their live traffic service. Unfortunately there is no HD data were I live, so I don't get to see active traffic on the native navigation app. Separately, the navigator doesn't display the names of upcoming cross streets - the former could have been dealt with by using SiriusXM for traffic the way Chrysler and Ford do and the latter . . . . well, there is simply no excuse. I am located in Canada, so we have fewer variations of the vehicle available and I chose the 3.5 Prestige to get the electronic speedometer and all of the other accoutrements. The vehicle sells in Canada for $85K Canadian and that the middle row seat isn't power (it is ventilated) and the vehicle doesn't come with smart card support or NFC locks the way it does in the US is simply wrong, but for that I can't fault the vehicle, it was a marketing decision. Another complaint is that there simply isn't much in the way of storage space - my last SUV had lots of places to stuff things into - this one doesn't even have a decent organiser for the console storage. I have a background in human factors engineering - there are things that could be done a bit more intuitively and features which should be improved - nothing fatal - but software is easily modified, so why not be the best that it can be? To date I've only had little 'nits' - the self parking is a neat gadget, but is somewhat slow to execute (I can park it quicker) and the cameras and lane keeping tech is pretty good, if perhaps mainly gadgetry, since the adaptive cruise suffers the universal problem of speeding up when the car ahead of you enters a curve and on curves it can simply lose the line - no climbing into the back seat for me!! Would I buy it again? (I purchased, rather than leasing.) It might have been better to lease and then purchase the electric version when it comes out - the resale value is going to be miserable unless there's a major lithium shortage over the next few years. But it is a REALLY nice vehicle to drive in and the Cardiff Green exterior (which reminds me of the color of my old 1972 Datsun 240Z) with its Green/Brown interior and suede roof lining cradles me in luxury.
