I have put 2,000 miles on this car and still don't know what to think. From the beginning the goodyear eagles 19" have been a joke, it took 10 tires to get 4 that would balance, huge disapointment however dealer was great and made it right. The ride seems to be quiet at times and real noisy at others, road, wind, tires?? i don't know. however the ride is soft the seats real comfy and all the amenities top notch which leaves me to wonder why the crappy tires. anywho a gtreat car to short lease but that maybe it, still its better tan a cadillac cts.

My Limited saga continues

First of all let me say that I love the car itself and were it problem free, I would love it that much more. I picked up my vehicle on March 17, 2012, as of 7/18 it is at the dealer for the 3rd time with the same problem and a new one. All the warning bells go off and I have no tachometer, no speedometer, no air, and all the warning lights are rotating and flashing, then the blind spot fault light and front end collision lights stay on. Replaced computer, fixed a lose connection, still happening. Now on 7/18 it also wouldn't start for a while. Not really sure how to gauge the value or the performance cause as of right now, been without it for a total of 4 weeks. Not a happy consumer.

My Taurus is very expensive to repair

I got this car in 2019 with 68,010 miles on it. It's my 3rd Taurus. I traded in a 2008 Taurus that I should've kept. I took a long trip shortly after getting the new one. It did great on the way there and the whole time I was there. I actually saw 34-38 MPG on the way. That was quite impressive. Something got kicked up and broke my A/C condenser. That was replaced by the 30 day warranty. I drove an hour each way to work. Car did excellent driving every day at around 32 MPG. Lately, the thing has been nothing but problems. I work in town now. It got a little leak in the power steering at about 102K. Shop replaced the pressure line (almost $500) and it happened again almost immediately. They looked at it more and discovered it needed a steering rack and quoted me over $800. I work at a local dealership so I had a guy I work with who knows a lot about Ford vehicles look at it. Actually turns out that I'm going to need new lines, power steering pump and the steering rack. On top of that, I've had a few smaller issues that don't really affect the driving. The steering wheel controls often malfunction and don't do what they say. For example, I can push volume up and it'll go down or change sources. Sometimes the radio will get stuck on FM and the satellite radio, CD and auxiliary button just keep taking it to FM. Ever since I got a local job, the gas mileage is kind of bad. I average about 14-16 MPG. Not exactly bad but it could be a lot better for being a sedan. And the transmission doesn't seem to know what to do half the time around town. The worst part about this car is that the trunk started leaking and my spare tire well filled up with water and caused the trunk to become moldy. The car still smelled brand new prior to this. I did notice it's a little difficult to park in smaller spaces due to the blind spots and the body lines. It's a very wide car. The FWD is absolutely terrible in the snow. Now for the good. The car handles great for being a full size FWD car. It's responsive and fairly fast for what it is. The car has one of the coolest interiors I've ever had and it's fairly comfortable (although the seats could have a little more support). I did notice however that something in my suspension always has a clunk even though there's nothing wrong. I love how quiet it is. I've always had Ford vehicles but I'm thinking this may be my last one. It's been a great car until recent. Now it seems like I'm constantly spending a lot of money to fix it. It makes me kind of sad because these are really good looking cars that drive nice.

Bought this car a month now. Price close to what we got from Edmunds. Overall the car rides good (especially long drive) but the front view is limited. My wife is 5'4" and she has a hard time seeing due to the dashboard being too high. Steering abit stiff for local driving with a lot of turn. Console is hard to understand. Too confusing. We seem to get slight better milage than report on highway.

Good value car for a used vehicle. Very comfortable to drive or ride in. Has most available for the model year. Would say the most annoying thing is the auto dimming headlights. Don’t always give the oncoming car enough time before dimming from brights. Would buy again
