Love the Ranger
Bought a 2019 Lariat Supercrew FX4 with all the options available. I have only had minor issues, bad speaker with the B&O system but dealer replaced. I have the platinum white and a couple paint blemishes appeared but dealer repainted. I have seen several complaints about "big people" not being comfortable but I am 6'4" and coming from a Chevy Colorado and test driving a new Tacoma I found the Ranger to be the best. I will say they are pricey compared to the deals you can get on a full size truck but I am unable to get a full size in the garage and this was the best option.

Absolutely love it!
I just purchased the new ranger after spending 3 months debating it. I previously owned a 2011 ranger which i loved until my transmission was going and it only had 70000 miles on it. Amyways i test drove a colorado and the ranger, i loved the ranger right away. The Colorado felt like it was heavy and slow. The ranger has great pickup i dont even feel like im driving a 4 cyl. I highly recommend this truck. Only complaint is its a little difficult for me to climb in and i'm 5'5 but thats a easy fix i can get some running boards installed!

Very nice, very overpriced
Test drove this Lariat FX4 and a Tacoma TRD Offroad with premium and technology package. Overall it was slightly more comfortable, and had slightly better performance. A little more room in the backseat. I liked the truck a lot. Pricing is where it went off the rails. The loaded to the max Tacoma msrp was $41k, marked down to $37.9k. The Ranger was $46k (!) and they wouldn’t move on the price even after I was very straight forward about the Tacoma’s price and my desire to buy the Ranger if they could come down a little. In the end I bought the Tacoma and it’s a great truck. The Ranger is nice, but it’s not worth what they’re asking for it.

Nightmare
I bought the 2019 ranger xlt with some extras in it and I have had nothing but issues out of it. It has been to the dealership probably 8 times and doesn't even have 15k miles on it. It is currently in the shop bc the rear end blew up. The dash went out before 5k. The radio also went out before 5k the alternator went out right before I hit 5k. All the speakers on the passenger side blew before 2k. It has been for multiple check engine lights and other modules saying they are inop. Truck left me on the side of the road before 5k
transmission failed at 600 miles
Bought a new 2019 Ford Ranger. Drove it lightly for 2 months. I got it from the dealer with about 250 miles on it, drove it to about 600 miles, and the transmission completely gave out, leaving me stranded on the road, needing a tow. Putting it in reverse would result in slowly going forwards, and could not get into any other gear. It's been with the dealer for more than a week, a new valve is on backorder from Ford with no ETA. Service and dealership have been great to me since, so not angry, but I would avoid buying a Ford again for a long, long time. It's a shame, since I really liked the truck and spent a lot of time researching against other models.
