From a Hybrid to Truck Love
I have had a lot of vehicles over the years, the most recent being a Fusion Hybrid Titanium I've had for the last 5. We went looking for a Ranger for my husband and ended up buying one for each of us. I am a all option, comfort kind of girl and the Ranger look and feel impressed me. I gave up vented AC seats, a sunroof, mpg, and a power back seat but I truly feel it was 100% worth it. I've been driving this truck for a month now and it still makes me smile. The seats are more comfortable, the ride is better than I expected, the power is great, and the features have me forgetting that trucks aren't supposed to be that convenient. We did drive a Colorado and a Tacoma but the Ranger made them both look bad in interior comfort and design

Had a GMC Canyon verses the Ranger
I had a 2016 GMC Canyon it was leased, never considered buying it. It was loaded by GM standards, but the features are back to the the 60’s. No home link, when you could find the four wheel drive button it is hidden with the lights down out sight by left knee. The 4 wheel drive is not indicted on the dash. No blind spot mirrors at available. Blue tooth is awful. It is grossly underpowered in the Colorado mountains. The transmission can’t find the gear and stalls while shifting gears, gm claims this is normal, enough to attach a 5 page report when you have the truck serviced. The Ranger is great after 2500 miles, all the features are. Thought out with the driver in mind. Drive both and you will buy the ford. It is comfortable I am 6’4”.

VERY HAPPY!
I traded my 2017 Tacoma for the 2019 Lariat after owning a Tacoma since 2011 and I am thrilled I did. The Ranger rides more car like and is more comfortable. The Ranger 4cyl engine hands down outperforms the Tacoma 6cyl. I did not like the Tacoma transmission which I believe Toyota changed in 2016. I find the Ranger more comfortable as well. The interior is fine keeping in mind this is a truck and not a luxury car. The climate control buttons are a little small for my fingers. The bed seems deeper than the Tacoma but the Ranger lacks storage. i miss the behind the seat storage provided in the Tacoma. I find Ranger provides more visibility when making a left turn. The windshield post and mirror created a blind spot that required me to lean forward to see where I was going. There is one annoying thing. The tailgate hits the license plate frame when open. In my case the plate frame scratched the paint which pissed me off. I drilled new holes lowered the plate to correct. Probably an engineering mistake which hopefully Ford will correct. I included this in my review to Ford. Hopefully someone reads them and with any luck some will respond. No regrets. BTW I had a number of people give me a thumbs up while driving and stopped a lights.
Sons New Ride
Research specs. Apple Play and cab environment is excellent. Use of Ford Sync Ap is easy straightforward and daily useful. Recommend spend the money for the trailer tow relatively inexpensive option when you consider what you get. In 301a sport package really nothing to add. Runs great, braking is impressive and comfortable up front, We have had some warranty issues and dealer knowledge was a problem..hopefully no further and parts are a challenge with the truck being first year-- Very impressed

Love the Ranger
Bought a 2019 Lariat Supercrew FX4 with all the options available. I have only had minor issues, bad speaker with the B&O system but dealer replaced. I have the platinum white and a couple paint blemishes appeared but dealer repainted. I have seen several complaints about "big people" not being comfortable but I am 6'4" and coming from a Chevy Colorado and test driving a new Tacoma I found the Ranger to be the best. I will say they are pricey compared to the deals you can get on a full size truck but I am unable to get a full size in the garage and this was the best option.
