Electric driving

2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E California Route 1 4dr Hatchback AWD (electric DD)

Love my Mach-e. AWD for new england weather, reasonable range and good pickup. The quiet, comfortable ride is what sold the car for me. I use the dash board almost exclusively while driving and like the large monitor for navigation. Hatch is large and cargo space is very good for trips to the grocery store and home improvement store. In the winter, the frunk is great to keep stuff cold on your way home from the store and since it has a drain, it can be filled with ice for summer drives.

I received my Mach 1 California route 1 after a 6 month wait. Though I didn’t get frequent updates as to when the car would be delivered, the updates I did get were accurate. I ordered the car in iced blue metallic and was extremely pleased with the color. I have a 80 mile commute every day and the mileage has far surpassed what it is rated for. My 50 amp ChargePoint home charger works great to charge to 90% in a couple of hours. With my electric rates, it cost me $3.00 a day to travel that 80 mile daily distance - and this has been in Colorado mountain weather from 20 - 60 degrees. The car is super fun to drive and the Blue Oval system works along my whole route. Once you learn that using this system, you can drive without touching the brake or gas pedal and simply holding on to the steering wheel. Remember this is Mountain Driving between Glenwood Springs and Aspen. Keep in mind that I replaced my BMW x-4 (performance package) with the Mach E. One note. I do not have the premium stereo but it still sounds more than acceptable. The only negatives is the inability to tow and the Ford Pass App. I have learned to use the app with all of its clunkiness but definitely not as slick as the Mach E.

2022 GT Performance Edition top of the line

Purchased Mach e 3 weeks ago. 2nd day the parking brake would not release and could not get car to move into gear. Got a warning on screen to return to dealer immediately for service. On my fourth attempt at turning off vehicle and attempting to restart and place in drive or reverse the car responded. My Walnut Creek Dealer has had the car for a week and still cant resolve issue with the help of Ford engineering team even with code showing issue. Ford even advised to look for lose connections! Only 127 miles and the dealer has had the car longer than I have, Also had fast acceleration while using hands free driving mode and was told that you have to be very attentive! Really...had I not swerved the vehicle and hit brakes I would have rammed cars in front of me!! At this point I am going to make Dealer take the car back. I am very frustrated with experience. Only one tech at present time qualified to work on Mach E! Still in service bay waiting for advice from Ford.

Awesome driving experience. Have never owned a Ford but after looking closely at and driving competitive EV's, we decided on the Mach E. It is so much fun! Crazy, right- now acceleration & great handling. Ride is firm but not harsh. Having owned BMW's for years, ride and handling isn't that different with this model of Mach E. Build quality and fit & finish is excellent. Very nice, quite and comfortable interior with a great sound system. It is an EV so there are lots of customizable options and connected features with the onboard control/ display interface which is really easy to use but does takes some familiarization & getting used to. The live connected smart phone integration provides lots of useful data and driving insight. Self driving feature has been flawless.

One Great Pony!

I was one of the first owners in Denver Colorado and glad I took the risk! Ours is the AWD with the large battery and most every option. From day one it’s been perfect the one pedal drive is fun you never use the breaks. The mileage is strong average about 270 - 310 miles when warm but in the winter you loose 35% especially when using the heat. We save about $200 per month on gas and charging costs about $8 from 20-80 percent plus it’s overnight so it’s easy. My only complaint is the phone app Ford needs to look at the EV6 app it’s much better. We own both the EV6 and Mach-e both are great but the Pony is the better drivers car.
