Used 2010 Ford Fusion Consumer Reviews
Fusion I4
This car replaced a Dodge Charger SXT 3.5. I read many of these reviews about the great I4 performance and see a few really have the V6. The performance is not good at all, with many up and down shifts during a typical Chicago rush hour commute trying to keep up. With just a choice of D or OD, you can't even help it along. The fronts seats are also pretty hard and even though multi-adjustable, I can't get a good position. The build quality is very good and wish I had the choice of getting the more powerful motor (company provided car). So far, I am not even getting great gas mileage at around 25 mpg for the 1st 2k miles. I have a 3.2 Audi that bests that by 4 mpg & S550 that matches it.
Transmission Stinks!!
Bought my Fusion in mid-late August 2009. At 3,000 miles the water pump went out. I heard a lot of squeaking and the more I drove it the worse it got. I took it to the dealership and the they said the water pump went out. Took a week or so to get parts and fix it. On March 8th the transmission just about went out completely. Took it back to the dealership and they said the clutches and valve body need replaced and the parts are on back order for a long time. They got Ford to give me a rental car. Also there is times the starter sticks and the car will not start, will take 4 attempts for the car to start. I think I have a LEMON!

yea sold this lemon.....bought a Ford escape 20 12
I bought my 2010 Fusion used a year ago and only 1 issue happened and that was the power steering failed. My dealer was very help full in the cost adjustment as I had the car about 3 months at that time. I was told that was the first time they ever saw or heard of that on a FUSION......the throttle body also failed since I had written this report.....NO MORE FORD FUSION FOR ME I GOT RID OF THIS PROBLEM FILLED CAR........THERE WERE ALSO ASSORTED ELECTRICAL ISSUES NOT REPORTED ON THE ORIGINAL REVIEW THIS CAR SHOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED A GREMLIN....... My only complaint on the interior is the controls for the air/fan/ heat etc are in an non convenient location as to ease of reach and adjustment while driving. I notice on the 2013 Fusion that the issue has been addressed properly. This is a very rewarding purchase for me as I have owned many other vehicles in my life and some sure sucked as to quality. That is usually found out after a person buys it! . SOLD THE FUSION......WENT BACK TO A FORD ESCAPE......MUCH BETTER FOR MY DESIRES AND NEEDS THE ESCAPE I BOUGHT IS MILES AHEAD OF THIS CAR.....I HAVE NOW OWNED THIS 2012 ESCAPE FOR 2 YEAR AND COUNTING. FORD IS STILL NUMBER ONE MANUFACTURE OF NORTH AMERICAN MADE .

2010 Fusion Sport
I really enjoy my Fusion. It has great power, fun to drive and very comfortable. The 3.5 liter engine has all the power anyone would ever need and gets respectable fuel mileage. I get about 16-18 in town and mid to high twenties on the highway.
up date HAPPY DUDE
29700 miles and still happy. still love styling sport blue outside and blue insert seats. The 3.5 V6 still pulls strong, a sleeper but don't expect to take Corvette. Average about 22 mpg and need to replace first set of tires and will not go with the Good Year RS A tires again. Ok tire but not great.
