Ford Freestyle
My wife love to drive the Freestyle, she like everything about it. She drove a Freestar for 5 years SEL over 150,000. What I have a problem is the seat. I thought should be a little better. The passenger seat should be like the driver's seat. Also I'm 6 foot and with the seat back there's not much room for a man behind me. Also gas mpg is not what I expected.
Ford's Best Kept Secret
I traded in my gas-guzzling Expedition for a Freestyle. Walked into the dealer looking for an Explorer when the Freestyle caught my eye. Went home, did some research and came back to the dealer for a test-drive. Convinced I made the right decision. Compares to a Volvo XC70. Could use bumper guards on the door panels. The thought of a late-model Caddy pulling in the parking space next to you is little unnerving but I've read the Ford 500 door guards work well as an aftermarket item. Also for chrome tip exhaust ,the Audi A4's are compatible and save you money when it come to upgrading the "look"
Fun Minivan / SUV
We were looking for a SUV that would give us good gas mileage and be high enough that my wife could see the traffic better. My wife is 5' and we were looking for a seat that would adjust high enough for her so that she could see. Plus we needed the lumbar support for both front seats. Ford is the only dealer that had it all. They surprised us also by giving us 0% financing for 5 years plus $1000 cash back. The whole experience was enjoyable, no pressure at all.
Excellent Family Car
Great car for a small family. Full size cooler fits in rear cargo area with 3rd row seat up. 3rd row seat is comfortable for kids only. Great leg room in front and middle sections. Great acceleration - don't know why the critics downplay its engine. Door panels are kind of flimsy from the outside. Overall we love our Freestyle!
Finally, a solid American car
There is just nothing we don't like about the car. Comfort on trips is great. Plenty of power, unless you want a gas guzzler. Passing response is excellent, CVT is smooth and seamless.
