2014 Ford focus
Do your reviews on powershift transmission before you buy, basically a double clutch transmission with a feeling of the transmission slipping when at parking lot speeds and has a loud water pump but other then that it has been a very reliable car!

Piece of junk!
This car kept giving me issues! The engineers should go back to the drawing board with this.

2014 Ford Focus
I enjoyed my car only because it was loaded. Sun/moon roof heated front seats 10 speakers leather seats etc. If not for this would rate 1. This car had up to 10 recalls 1st being the transmission issues! Mine were fixed.

Minimal issues with my manual 2014 Ford Focus
Bought in December of 2014. The beautiful red color and sleek design caught my eye. The Wife and I took it for a test drive and fell in love. Great handling, smooth ride, great gas mileage and decent power. Dash and steering wheel controls user friendly and put in the right place. As of today, I have 114k miles and have minimal issues. The only thing that has happened, is that the radio went out a few months ago. I've done all required maintenance and the car is super reliable. Recently got an oil change and radiator service, but that's it. Manual transmission shifts great.

Love regardless
The car overall with one caveat is great. The big deal is to let the car shift where if you hot rod it you’ll get a transmission shutter. It’s a dual clutch automatic so let it naturally shift out of first gear (easy acceleration) then off you go. If you push it it can jerk the shift out of first gear, that said at 50,000 miles it’s fine, rust free and 41 mpg highway.Ford gave us the option to trade at full value for something else but we like the car better than the Elantra we had. Focus has a better ride than the 2012 Elantra (which started to rust and parts were expensive .The Ford dealer was/is great. Wish Ford still made the car.

Manual transmission only!
Recently my son was going to purchase his first car. We went to a few lots and looked at different cars with limited results. We found a 2014 used Ford focus SE sedan at a local independent dealer with 54,000 miles on it. Price paid was $7000. It needed about $1500 worth of work to make it perfect and the dealer was upfront about it. The car now has 62,000 miles on it and has been rock solid dependable. His car drives nice handles nice and has absolutely no problems. Gas mileage is excellent. That being said, I have to add that we researched the car thoroughly in consumer reviews and car magazines before purchasing it. What we found out is that the Ford focus with a dual clutch automatic transmissions are junk. The five speed models are rocksolid and cheap to purchase because of the reputation of the automatics. After reading reviews we would not even consider an automatic, especially one with a dual dry clutch system.

Unbelievable
This car speaks for itself. The car is in excellent shape which attracted me to look into it and eventually purchase it. The interior and exterior are beyond the imagination, No rust and rides like a dream. This would be the perfect car for anyone who needs a means of transportation. You'll love it!!
