Poor Shifting Piece Of Crap

This was not one of Ford's better ideas. The automatic transmission is a piece of engineered junk (that's a compliment). Shakes and stutters when you start. Oil leak under the timing belt. Custom gasket kit required to repair cost of $1,200. Have owned 5 ford products and this is the 2nd lemon. Will never purchase another FORD (Fix Or Repair Daily) vehicle. When the car dies the garbage parts are being sent to the manager of quality in Dearborn Michigan. Luckily I was able to obtain his street address.

NOPE!!!

You couldn't give me another Ford. Bought this with 2,200 miles on it and had it to the dealership 2x with exactly ZERO help from them or Ford. I guess the only positive would be that it would definitely put a crying baby to sleep with all the jerking, vibration and abnormal noises it makes while driving. It is down right embarrassing to even have passengers in this vehicle and drive down the road. I don't understand even with a car over two years old they still don't have a solution to this unacceptable reaction to just pushing the acceleration pedal. This could get 50mpg and I will still say NOPE!

Roller Coaster

The transmission is horrible. They said it wouldn't be so jumpy after 1,000 miles. Well...now that I'm at 4,000 I feel like I'm riding on a roller coaster. I work a lot and now I have to find time to take it back again and have them figure it out. If they can't figure it out, it will become property of Ford. I can't wait for my lease to be up.

Terrible Transmission

I'm usually not one to write a review on anything, but I just couldn't get over the terrible transmission on the 2014 Ford Focus automatic. I am at 12.5k miles, and the jerking/shaking between 1st and 2nd gear is consistently getting worse. I first noticed it around 5-7k miles and thought it was just in my head, but a few thousand miles later it was obvious to anyone riding along. From an outside perspective, I must look like a man who can't drive a manual car. The car jerks the worst if I'm starting out from an incline. Once I get to 2nd gear the car seems fine, but living in a city with many stops, it is very uncomfortable. If only I had read some of these reviews earlier.
