2 month review
Bought the car for work/commute 2 months ago as gas prices were just eating me alive. Drive about 30k/yr. After ablut 5k mi, I've had no issues. The car has 29k mi. I do have a wheel bearing noise in front otherwise, everything else works fine. I'm actually surprised how comfortable the car rides. Performance is reasonable. Car looks somewhat cheap inside however, it's not an expensive car. For the money, it's much less expensive than it's Japenese counterparts & much better than it's American counterparts. Overall, for the money I definintely buy another Focus. By the way, I'm getting over 30 mpg combined. I am however, conscious about how I drive it.
Ford Focus - more than you think
My Focus is easy to drive, it's powerful (I also own a Mustang but sometimes I am quicker with the Focus) and it's built very reliably. I had no issues whatsover and I drive it in any kind of weather and circumstance.

Awesome car
Had the car for a week and have put on a 1000km. It's actually fun to drive! Handles surprisingly well. Good acceleration, very user friendly. Love it!
Frugal Fun
Other than wanting more power, particularly in the lower gears, my 2006 Focus ZX5 is a joy to drive.
Everything great so far except ...
Fuel Economy - PUTRID! Supposed to get 26 mpg city driving and so far only getting 18, if I'm lucky. True, only have 800 miles on the car so far and the engine break in period is not over and I do have a heavy foot and it has been freezing here in New York but I'm getting about 170-180 miles for 11.5-12 gallons (city driving). Don't think it should be that bad. I'll see how it is after 2000 miles.
