Best tow vehicle I have owned

I have a fairly extensive history towing everything from the family ski boat to operating rollback wreckers transporting four-cars per load on an International 4900 chassis. I drove one of the first Ford SuperDuty rollbacks ever built, Chevy HD3500, UD 1800, etc etc... That said, my 2017 F350 Lariat Powerstroke is one off the best tow vehicles I have ever had the pleasure to drive and was a dramatic improvement over my excellent 2016 F250 King Ranch 4x4 Powerstroke. I haul everything from 28' offshore power catamarans to my 28' race car trailer and the truck could not be better. The cockpit is comfortable, the towing capacity plenty and the power/mpg more than adequate. I do plan to add a performance tuner because I just can't not futz with a vehicle. :-) This is an outstanding truck. I drive it almost daily and could not be more happy.

Bought a 2020 F350 lariat in October of 2020. Since I bought it I have put 20,000km on it. Over that 20,000km, it’s been In the shop for 18 days total and counting. DEF system is flawed. DEF froze solid in-20 and the heater faulted. Went into limp mode. Waited til 0c and tried to fill and DEF system would not accept any fluid. Continual issue that still has not been resolved. Still cannot fill DEF. Blew a high pressure power steering hose. Dealership ordered wrong part. Finally got the right part and were missing an adapter. Canada didn’t have any adapters in stock. Had to order from US, no ETA on part at this time. It’s tough spending 100k on a truck, getting [non-permissible content removed] service( not ETA on completion, no spare vehicle ) and acquiring a lemon which you can only trade it at a huge loss. Never getting a Ford again.

Nothing but problems within the first six months of ownership: Frozen inoperable door latches; when it rains, doors fill and hold water; premature rusting of parts; Tailgate opens on its own while driving; and poor follow-up service at the dealership to name a few. Will definitely never buy a Ford product again.

Been driving Super Duties for 20 years with one brief brain fart when I bought a GMC Denali, only kept it for 30 days and went back to Ford
