Used 2012 Ford F-250 Super Duty Consumer Reviews
Wow!
It's really early in the game to call this thing a success yet, but wow! This truck has incredible power, interior is better than any out there. My biggest concern was powertrain reliability and fuel economy. The latter is showing around 19 on the highway, city driving around 16. I'll have to wait to see how she holds up. So far, awesome!
Quiet power
Nearly 1000 mi so far with no issues. Great mileage > 20 mpg. Tows nicely a 10K 5th wheel. Everyone notices how quiet it is with no smell. Bed is better with tie downs and built in hitch to frame. Older 1997 had fold down back seat to flat floor, this model has poor room in the super cab since seats do not fold down-thank the Feds for that. Outside is nice enough and the suspension and drive feel are more car-like than truck. Towing with new exhaust brake is excellent and as long as you don't push it up hills, it is great on mpg. Only neg is $$$$$ for what you get, needs splash guards. The new display screen is nice with instant mpg, miles to empty etc. Dodge is less exp. for similar.

Great truck!!
Just bought the King Ranch f250 a couple days ago, and it's an incredible truck. I haven't had the chance to tow with it yet, but every element is great so far. My truck was fully loaded at an msrp of $65k, and I don't regret a single penny of it. The ride quality is great, and the vehicle rides very smooth, even when it's unloaded. My fiance is able to drive it easily and loves the interior features. I'm looking forward to hooking up a trailer and taking it on a road trip to the lake.
Powerful 6.7 diesel but rides like a train!
I hope I can write a review to help somebody out as I am a fan of reading reviews. I’ve owned my share of heavy-duty trucks And this one by far has the best drive train. This powestroke is quite impressive, great pulling power, great acceleration and is quiet. The transmission holds gear and shifts very smooth. On the flipside this has got to be one of the poorest riding heavy duty trucks I’ve owned since the 90s . If you’re on a smooth road its fine but if you’re on a bumpy Michigan Road where I live it’s nauseating. A long ride can make you feel beat up. It Rides a little better when hauling or towing but still not good. Fuel economy is not great. if I’m on highway only and not towing I can get 15 mpg which I believe it should be better since my old excursion 7.3 could get 17 with a lousy four-speed transmission 15 years ago . My truck is a 6.7 diesel super cab 8ft bed with xl package and 4 x 4. Cloth seats are comfortable enough for cheap seats and I like the rubber floor. The radio sounds good but the LED burned out as well as the FM/a.m. button quit working. I tow over 12,000 pounds regularly and it does it’s job. Overall it’s not a bad truck but my next truck I’ll probably go back to either dodge or Chevy. Honestly the only reason I Purchased a ford was because in the used market it was way cheaper than its competitors .

2011 F250 (6.7 diesel) Tow Control
Overall the truck seems fantastic. Comfortable, powerful, quiet, and functional. Glad to have it. A couple of concerns. Went from a 1999 Crew SWB to this 2011 Super Cab LWB. Was counting on using all the space behind the drivers seat, but was surprised to find the woofer for the stereo under the back drivers side seat. Second issue is that the truck has been unable to move coming out of uphill parking lots, under heavy load (large horse trailer). Seems to be a tow control issue. Have to put the truck in park, shutdown, turn back on to get moving. Ford is looking into the issue, as it is easy to duplicate. It is stuck in 3rd according to Ford during this failure state.
