Used 2005 Ford Explorer Consumer Reviews
From C5 'vette fo 05 Explorer
Living in the Texas Hill Country made driving my C 5 Corvette a lot of fun, but I got tired of being surrounded by huge SUVs and pickups. A base Explorer seemed to be the safe, not too big and not too expensive, choice. Making an SUV attractive is sort of like putting earrings on a hog. You can only hide so much ugly, but Ford did a commendable job with the Explorer.
My First SUV
This is a comfortable and easy to handle SUV with excellent road mileage -- has been taken on numerous trips back and forth to beach (approx. 300 miles round trip). Excellent cargo space and comfortable seating for up to 7 people.

Love It!
I went from an '02 Liberty back into a new Explorer and it's the best decision I could have made. The Explorer handles much better, stops much better, and gets the about the same gas mileage as the Jeep did. Can't wait to see how it tows, but I imagine it will be no problem.
2005 Ford Explorer
Traded in my 2001 Ford Escape. The Explorer is just like my Escape on steroids. My local dealer offered $10,000 off sticker which put it at the same price as my Escape four years ago! Seems to be a great vehicle so far.
big and easy
Overall good, and fun to drive.
