Used 2016 Ford Escape Consumer Reviews
poor paint job
Before you buy this car ( especially the blue) , look very closely at the paint quality. The one I have, the paint is coming off in pieces around the windshield and the front fender has no clear coat,( very dull). I also work with a lady that has the same identical car and the paint is also coming off around the windshield too. These must be "Friday" cars, The ones that are done quickly so they can start their weekend. To me this is not quality, only a hurry-up and get it done job. If I had wanted an ugly car I would have purchased one from a junk car lot.
Love my Escape
I like that it's easy to get in and out of. Easy to drive. Gas mileage good. Overall would buy another.

Do not buy
Transmission issues left me stranded, 4500 to replace. Engine ticks and stalls. Terrible vehicle. Lots of reports of transmission issues yet Ford hasn’t done a recall, shame on them. First and only Ford I will ever purchase.

Not good on gas
issues after just a few years... Making a noise when I turn steering wheel, mechanic couldn't find anything wrong yet, but said it would need a catalytic coverter soon and it only has 65000 miles .. very poor gas mileage, I exchanged a 2017 escape because it was so bad I thought I had a lemon, but this one was not much better.
