Wow....what a disappointment!
First, it's a 2011 Escape XLT V6 4WD I have been watching the Escape grow since 2001, and now that I am 20, I decided it was time to purchase a new car, my first new car! What a disappointment it is! I was in love with the Escape....thought it was the greatest! Now my thoughts are completely the opposite! This is my second Ford, but you won't catch me in a Ford again for a LONNGGGGG TIME!!!!! My dealer has been doing a decent job, but having the vehicle for less than 2 months, and it has been back there 3x...somethings wrong! First thing was the alignment was off, second it shut off on me twice for no reason, third-electrical problems, fourth-transmission problems, fifth more electrical!!
6 cyl, but that wasn't an option
Have owned this vehicle for about a month. So far, very good purchase. However, gas mileage is WAY below advertised mileage. Average is 19.5, but highway highest at 22 and only 18 in city. Some build quality issues that I hope to get resolved when I return to the dealership. Passenger side mud guard behind rear wheel doesn't even come close to fitting properly.

Good Escape
Have owned my 2011 Escape XLT since July 2012. Overall it has been a good reliable vehicle. I have the 3.0 V6 Engine which gets surprisingly good MPG. No big complaints as this little SUV has held up well. There was an issue with the A/C which the dealer fixed under warranty and the throttle body was replaced last year also free of charge. Car has remained problem free since. No electrical issues, have just really only done regular maintenance on it.

Unreliable
This car was amazing at first I loved it but the more I use it the worst it gets, 120000 miles and the ac has gone out twice now and this time it is a compressor, the seat belts don’t work at all they don’t even retract and the driver seat has already ripped. The Bluetooth half the time doesn’t even work and the highest package stereo is horrible the speakers pop at low volume due to not getting enough power out of head unit and amp. The stereo also doesn’t get any louder when you turn it past 4/6ths the volume after that it is pointless. Also things rattle inside the doors non stop from the radio and also from outside rough roads.

6 cyl. AWD piece of junk!!!!!
Problems from day one. The infamous "hoot" which Ford has known about for three years and done nothing about it so far. Getting worse by the day, and will undoubtedly lead to transmission problems. Build quality issues, including fender liner problems, and water leaks. Front passenger compartment was getting flooded every time I went to a car wash. Dealer fixed that problem, and now air conditioner leaks into the same compartment. What a piece of junk. Although I've owned a dozen Fords before, this will be my last, for sure.
