Fords answer to the Chevy Vega
I shouldn’t insult the Vega... The Ecosport is poorly named. Taking it’s incredibly rough ride, lack of power, a transmission that shifts for crap, cramped interior, poor handling, and being very susceptible to cross winds, the mileage claims are wrong. City you average under 15 mpg and highway your lucky if you break 19 mpg. With a tiny fuel tank. You’re lucky to reach 200 miles per fill up. You will become an expert with the radio. Every month or so, you will be up reprogramming your radio, hands free devices and inputting your saved navigation info. While the dealer and Ford claims it can’t happen, it has since the day we got this one. On the good side... there was a none. Terrible car, treat it like AIDS....

I like it, but I don't love it.
I have always purchased and enjoyed most Ford products. The technology has always been ahead of the curve. I had to replace my 2013 C-max with another vehicle at a moment's notice, due to an accident that totaled my car. NOTE: Resale value of C-max's are very poor. I liked the style of the EcoSport, but when it comes to practicality, I'm not so sure. I like the handling and the infotainment system. However, the touch screen looks like it got tacked on at the last minute as an afterthought. I just know that there will be dirt build-up behind the screen on the dashboard. The back seats do not fold down FLAT with the cargo space. Instead there is a Mickey-Moused board, that has to be implemented to make the cargo space semi-flat. Ugly. Ugly. Ugly. When the seats are folded down, you see the bottom of the seat cushions and the front seats do not go back very far. The jury is still out on the swing gate. One thing I have noticed: plastic EVERYWHERE - and looks like not a good quality. If I had time, I probably would have looked at other competitive models. I'm a bit in the 'buyer's remorse' mode right now.
