1999 Chrysler Concorde LXi
Bought this car new in 2000 w/ only 340 miles on it. Very roomy and comfortable and excellent gas mileage for size. Trunk lid stabilizers replaced twice. This year, 2010, with only 54,000 miles started having numerous electrical problems. Engine started stopping. Had to replace Powertrain Computer Module. Very expensive. Probably spent 2-3,000 dollars in repairs over the years. Lucky that I bought extended warranty. Finally gave up and got rid of it. Wish I had seen these reviews before I bought it.
Great Choice !
It was just before closing on a Friday when I test drove the Concorde LXi. The salesman told me to keep it for the weekend. Since I was just looking I decided to take the nicest one on the lot. It was green with tan leather, moon-roof, CD etc... That was three years ago. Needless to say, I never returned the car.
concorde lxi
have enjoyed this car, roomy, easy to drive, rounded fenders make it hard to tell where they are when parking,A/C went out and expensive to replace, not bad milage
I Switched
Recently purchased a used Chrysler Concorde LXI. This car has all the bells and whistles anyone could imagine. I've never been a real Chrysler fan, with their past history of transmission problem. However, after taking this car for a ride I soon changed my mind. It seems like a very solid car that rides well. I am a 41 year old male with a wife and 4 young daughters. I am also 6' 4" tall and weigh 260 pounds. Plenty of room up front and back. The only problem that I had was a very small oil leak underneath. Took it to the garage several times and I still find fresh oil underneath the car. Overall, after driving this car for several months I believe I made a wise purchase.
Good Car
This car handles good, and drives very smooth. The only thing I have had go wrong is a ball joint. I had the car completly checked by GM certified personal. They said the car was in great condition and 95% was original. No problems just basic maintenance. If you don't take good care of it you can run into problems though. Must take care of transmission.
