1999 Chrysler Concorde LXi

Bought this car new in 2000 w/ only 340 miles on it. Very roomy and comfortable and excellent gas mileage for size. Trunk lid stabilizers replaced twice. This year, 2010, with only 54,000 miles started having numerous electrical problems. Engine started stopping. Had to replace Powertrain Computer Module. Very expensive. Probably spent 2-3,000 dollars in repairs over the years. Lucky that I bought extended warranty. Finally gave up and got rid of it. Wish I had seen these reviews before I bought it.

It was just before closing on a Friday when I test drove the Concorde LXi. The salesman told me to keep it for the weekend. Since I was just looking I decided to take the nicest one on the lot. It was green with tan leather, moon-roof, CD etc... That was three years ago. Needless to say, I never returned the car.

I love it, but I hate it...

I have never been behind the wheel of a car that was more comfortable or more fun to drive on the interstate than this "Highway Hog." Even when the A/C is on, it gets great gas milage, 21 city 32 highway! If it wasn't for the two times I had to put it in the shop to replace transmission sensors(the input and then the out sensor--about $110 each time) I would have no complaints. I've sat up to 7 people(3 front, 4 back) comfortably. Overall, it's a good car but if I got another one I would buy it new, lease it for 3 years, and get rid of it because Chrysler transmissions suck once they get over 3 years old.

Bought this car used with only 30K and it has been great. The gas mileage is the best. Not much power but I can get 340 miles before the low fuel light comes on. Great when gas prices go up and down. Has the smaller 2.7 liter but Ice cold A/C. OH, and the trunk space is even better. I hope this car can last me. No complaints here.

Recently purchased a used Chrysler Concorde LXI. This car has all the bells and whistles anyone could imagine. I've never been a real Chrysler fan, with their past history of transmission problem. However, after taking this car for a ride I soon changed my mind. It seems like a very solid car that rides well. I am a 41 year old male with a wife and 4 young daughters. I am also 6' 4" tall and weigh 260 pounds. Plenty of room up front and back. The only problem that I had was a very small oil leak underneath. Took it to the garage several times and I still find fresh oil underneath the car. Overall, after driving this car for several months I believe I made a wise purchase.
