Used 2005 Chevrolet Impala Consumer Reviews
Impala...What more could you want?
OK, first of all...I'd not even compare this car to anything else. I simply could never find anything I like as well as the Impala or the Monte Carlo. I have owned a 2000,2002,2003,& this 2005. I strayed away once, just once & came back to what I knew was an amazing car. Trouble free, fantastic gas mileage (have got 35mpg twice now on hwy), classic Chevy looks & comfort for tall people like me. Another thing is, I dont feel like a nerd driving it like I would a Camry, Accord or Jetta!
Awsome Car!
I test drove several cars, I liked the impala the best. Now having owned it for @6 months, I must say, I still love it! Nice ride, nice stereo, nice everything..

Great value car
Have gotten 32 mpg, live in a rual area. Car rides and drives great, love the 16 inch wheels, I do get road noise on certain highways, but I can live with that. Its a great value for the buck, will buy another. Have owned Chevys before.
A great car for the money
I have owned 6 Impalas since 2000, 3 base models and 3 Ls sedans. We have owned the 2000, 2003, and now the 2005. We have had virtually no problems with any of them. They are very dependable, comfortable, and get good gas mileage for their size. Safety record is also a major plus. It is a great car for the money. I have owned Cadillacs, Mercedes, and Ford products and I can say without a doubt that the Impala is a trouble-free car in every respect. Would recommend it highly to anybody.
Never again
Bought car with 12k miles on it and by 20k it had become a nightmare. At 24k needed to replace warped rotors and again at 40k. Idler arms on both sides needed replacing at 38k. Front end still squeeks like crazy but is hard to hear at times over the rattles in the dash. Post on drivers side also rattles. window motor on passenger side went out. Now tranny problems. Done with GM products!
