I have waited on the HHR !! The dealer got this on Tuesday pm, I saw on Wednesday am and the rest is history. Everywhere I went this vehicle drew stares, smiles, and looks of wow! I had people with a lot of smiles and thumbs up. This is an awesome little ride. The 2.2L has plenty of pep on the freeway and great fuel economy. I have only driven 250 miles but it is on the mark at 30 mpg. For the money it is a great value and is loaded with much more than I was expecting. Don't miss this one, it is one of the best retro designs yet.

Update to "Great Vehicle"

I have now owned my HHR for 2 years and can provide an update. I am still very satisfied with the purchase. I get through my daily routine - and then some - without guzzling too much gas. I turn a few heads when the wheels are shined and the windows are down (which is always fun). One thing to note before I go on with my details: the American product is now AT LEAST as good as any foreign product. Take my HHR for example. Potential buyer, be advised... look at the reports!

It's a Chevy

I do like this car, but after having a Buick, you get kind of spoiled. I realized when I bought it that you get what you pay for. There is nothing wrong with the car, except for the car radio turning on by itself, it's just cheaper made. However, I saved money purchasing it also, and it serves my needs just fine. My two big dogs fit in the back seat, and it holds a lot in the back. For a 4 cylinder, it has plenty of power.

I've owned since June 2006. I drive approx 40,000km a year in an almost equal mix of city/highway and average about 8.1L/100KM or 28.9MPG which is fantastic. On the highway, cruise set to 110km/hr I get about 34MPG and consistently over 840km to a tank. The most I've seen is 890. My car is the top level 2LT with all available options except OnStar. The 2.4L is really smooth, don't feel any vibration at idle or at traffic lights. It has a great MP3 player with Pioneer sound that's loud and clear, and is so technologically advanced. The driver info center is all configurable and programmable to your language and tastes. Remote start is great! So are the very warm heated seats.

I have enjoyed driving this vehicle from the very first day, and I still enjoy driving it today. I just wish that the fuel mileage, which is not bad, would be a little closer to the new EPA fuel ratings. Buy one, You will love it.
