An excellent vehicle
A very nice, well made vehicle. With the V-6 engine it has lots of power. Computer shows a high of 36.4 MPG on recent trip. Mileage around town is between 18 and 22, depending on how must time is spent at traffic lights. I love everything about this vehicle. It has been trouble free and economical to own. The front seats are great for tall people and have great leg room. The only thing I would mark down slightly are the hardness of the front seats. They are not bad, but could be softer for a long trip. This is a well made and reliable car that is fun to drive.

NEVER EVER BUY A CHEVY
How would you like your car to stall due to engine problems near a railway crossing with your kids in!!! I bought my first ever Chevy equinox LS some years back. It ran well without any major problems (other than a windshield wiper module issue, which turned out a recall item). It has just over 70k miles on it. A couple of days ago, while I was driving the engine stalled and the car came to a complete halt near a railway crossing. The car vibrated violently, stopped and would not start again. The dashboard monitor gave 2 errors before stopping. The errors read Stabilitrack error and Engine power reduced. I have researched online and seen this problem occurring to other customers as well, despite having regular oil changes. I have taken this to a dealer service shop in Langhorne , PA 19047. They have the car for about 6 days now and still no ETA. They have refused me a loaner vehicle. I have made several calls to the service shops now and they are still not covering this under warranty. The vehicle is supposed to have power train warranty for 100k miles. They told me that it is a valve problem. Then they asked me to get all the oil change records. When i bought this...they are now asking me to authorize an expenditure of $700 to tear the engine apart. The next time I ever buy a Chevy will be over my dead body!!!

Wow-Rip off
Wow-I feel so betrayed--After my Equinox having to be re hauled because of using to much oil -not they are telling me my whole engine needs to be replaced. This vehicle only has 137,000 miles on it. That is not including the other numerous things I have had to be replaced. The car is only 6 years old and is probably only worth $2000 more then they want to charge me for a new engine. I have driven chevy's my whole life but this is the last. I will be switching over to Ford. There should be a recall on this because the same day mine went into the shop the mechanic at Runde's said 5 others came in the same day with the same issue and NO RECALL. This is CRAZY. CHEVY NO MORE. I am sick to my stomach that this could even happen........... You make me sick GMC........... Note to anyone do not buy anything with a Chevy Engine in it. You will be screwed...........

We will never own a GM product after this car!
This car has been a complete and total nightmare! We have owned it just under 3 years and the repairs on this car has totaled $8,000+ and climbing as soon as it hit 100,000 miles. Burning through oil, which caused a cascade of wear and tear on the engine eventually equaling an engine swap, and then in the shop three more times after that. Chevy knows of the issues with this engine burning through oil but they haven't issued a recall. The engine in this car is also really noisy to begin with, and the computer/tech in this car is glitchy! Before we had the issues with the engine burning oil it would completely die when coming to a stop, which is dangerous with little kids in the car! Worst investment we've ever made and we will never own a Chevy again!

Brand New 2013
Just picked up my 2013 Equinox LTZ and so far am loving it. I've had many different cars from Chevy to BMW to Nissan to Audi and the features for the price this one definitely provides that bang for the buck. The only additional option I got on the LTZ was new 3.6L V6 engine and it provides enough get up and go for a vehicle of this size. Too new to really gauge gas mileage but that isn't one of my main concerns really. The fit and finish of the interior is great for it's class. I opted for the two-tone Light Titanium/Black interior and it goes really well. Love the touch screen radio. Got mine for under invoice and it definitely can't be beat in this segment for that price!
