Still love my car. I have been experiencing some electrical issues. Even with a new battery I’m getting weird issues reported through On-Star. When Spring rolls around I’m taking it back for some diagnostic work. Also had to replace my tires at 9,960 miles. Not nearly as long as I’d hoped.

My wife and I chose museum delivery. Flew into Nashville Tennessee. Rented a car and drove about 60 miles to Bowling Green Kentucky and took delivery right across the street from the factory. Of a Racing Yellow convertible with a black top and black leather interior. What an AWESOME experience that was. We took about 3 weeks driving it home to Roy, Washington. 5,800 miles and at least half of that was with the top down. Got comments about car at every stop. Even at red traffic lights. Got 24 / 25 miles per gallon consistently. Washed it several times on the way home to remove bugs. We managed to pack enough of what we needed to get by in the trunk. And used UPS to mail home some cowboy boots and other souvenirs. It was a great adventure. Thanks Chevrolet for making a dream of ours come true.

This is a very fast exotic performance car, BUT it is a sweetheart if you also add the computer assisted "Selective Ride Control" (SRC) suspension and 8 speed automatic transmission. I have over 100k miles on a similar equipped C6 coupe and this new 2019 version is a significant upgrade in all categories. I custom ordered this one as a base model but with the SRC option it pretty much has all the same performance settings and dash custom settings as the much more expensive models. It has 5 dash and suspension settings using the ride mode dial including the custom dash look for each setting. The Bose base stereo is about as loud and high sound quality as you can get. Its such an easy car to drive nice, and if you want a crazy beast just put her in track mode and she will scare you. The transmission shifts smoothly in normal driving but unlike a normal sequential downshift down through each gear on high power demand this transmission will jump directly down to the highest performance gear for speed and throttle demand and upshift hard and fast. The result is invigorating, it just puts power down when you want it. I now have 4000 miles on it and put on AS tires, but its as stable in the wet as the C6 was an so soothing to drive and so smooth and fast. Its a nice car, one you want to drive longer than your old standard commute allows. And with my custom Elkhart Lake blue paint and Stingray badging a real head turner. I ordered the car with the optional vents painted to match the body color, that gives it a much more refined look. It was ordered with the Carbon flash blacked out Stingray emblems and black painted rims. I had a run in with a deer, and the nose was repaired and the stock grill was damaged and I had it upgraded to the Z51 version and the matching air cooling ducts for the front brakes. Its a much more aggressive look and matches the carbon flash black theme the car was ordered with. I just added the larger slotted Z51 brakes as well, larger front slotted rotors and matching calipers and slotted rear rotors. The increased stopping power is noticeable and appreciated (the base model brakes were also very good but looked a bit strange with the rotors smaller in the front). I get many compliments on her, even from the dealer service people. I am enjoying the ride, the electronics is still surprising me with settings I did not know about and enjoying the AppleCarPlay with my old 5s iPhone. I learned the cruse control can be turned off and the button above the left driving wheel toggles on and off, thought something went bad but operator error. The home button to the left of the radio station console control center knob has many more settings that are not accessed through the dash display and steering wheel right side buttons, like setting the steering mode to the mode select knob on the console or to pick one for all modes, same with exhaust sound. I have been putting some miles on her as she is just a pleasant car to drive. She is very stable in heavy rain as well with the Michelin AS tires I put on her. No unusual vibrations or squeaks have occurred so far. During the winter the heat comes on very fast and she is a cozy car in the winter. She runs cool on the few 90 degree days so far BTW, only need the air conditioning above 85, cooler than the C6 probably due to the radiator heat exiting the front of the hood and up and over the windshield, nice design. After 12,000 miles still love it, no issues to date.

Do your homework and know what you really want/need with regard to features and options. We opted for the Stingray with a few unique RPO options that make our car unique. Didn't want or find the need for any of the more expensive options such as the Z06 or Z51. While they're both incredible cars, I know I'll never need or desire more than our base Stingray and it's 455 horsepower can deliver. This car is amazing, looks fantastic and is loaded with tech as it is. incredibly powerful, and rides very well for a sports car. The only downside I can speak of so far is the blind spots, but I've learned you have to re-adjust your thinking and setting of the outside rear view mirrors and driving habits to take care of that problem.

Before you purchase, shop at Kerbeck or Corvette King or any other volume Corvette dealer on line. Do your homework on Edmunds to make sure you get all the options you want. Now you can go to your local dealer, well armed or just purchase thru the volume dealer. The Grand Sport has the Z06/ZR1 wide body and the 460hp motor of a Z51 Stingray. I have many Corvettes but this one is a nice driver that gets plenty of attention in its Corvette Racing yellow body, Kalahari interior with black accents and black GS hash marks. This car belongs to my wife and she loves it but is in the passenger seat mostly. It's fast (or fast enough) in its 0-60 in the 3's, stops like it should and steers like my 1990 ZR-1 Corvette - quick and flat. If there's a 40mph road that 90 degree turns onto a 40mph road, there's no need to lift, just turn the steering wheel (not in the rain or sandy corners). No tire squeak, no rattles, no fuss, it just does it. It becomes almost boring ...unless there's a nervous passenger then the screaming reminds me to slow down for them. Something I didn’t expect is this car puts all the power to the ground. My daily-ish driver is a 2010, 707hp, Z06 Corvette. I rarely get full traction. This Grand Sport at 40-45mph has zero tire slip when you floor it. I could feel the blood in my face go to the back of my skull. I thought for sure it would break loose. It’s only 460hp - I’m amazed! Maybe it’s the tires - I dunno? The convertible top is able to go up or down with 1 button at 31mph or less but has little trunk space - maybe good for 2 on a casual weekend. For a car that's in its final year of production after 6 years, it still gets more attention that I expected - could be the loud paint or maybe my driving habits, not sure.

Comparing new 2019 Corvette Stingray to 2010 one

R. D., 10/26/2018
2019 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 2dr Coupe w/1LT (6.2L 8cyl 7M)

FYI, I am comparing this 2019 model to my 2010 base model with selective ride control and automatic 6 speed transmission. Its too early to reach final conclusions as to many of the ratings as I only have 60 miles on it so far but here are a few observations. I ordered custom a base 1Lt and mechanically only added the computer assisted Selective Ride Control (SRC) and Automatic 8 speed transmission, similar to my 2010, I did order the newest color the Elkhart Lake Blue with gray seat interior and black painted rims and every Stingray badging offered with the blackened chrome Corvette and Stingray markings, with body colored vent grills. So it looks awesome in those regards. The 1Lt interior has more than enough color LCD dash and console eye candy so its way more complicated looking than the 2010. The nice thing is there are still analog turn knobs for the Radio volume, heater/AC temp, fan speed with conventional push buttons for the vent operation. The stereo is now 9 speaker Bose with a bit of a too much deep base subwoofer flair. All the steering wheel buttons are functional on this base model, nothing is covered off. Interior room is suppose to be identical to the 2010 but due to the fighter cockpit wrap around dash it feels a bit more confined and the new seats do not slide back as far as the 2010 due to their thicker design and side support keeps you from sliding on turns now. I am 6'2" and can fit ok, leg room is good, maybe could use another inch back on the peddles but ok. Interior finish is very nice I will have to drive it more and look at it to reach a final conclusion. Regarding performance, the throttle response is smooth, too smooth in drive its way too easy to get triple digests on what would normally be much lower speed passing maneuver. The paddle shifters are now like the Camaro left pull up to downshift and right pull up to upshift. I like it better not having to remember to use your thumb for upshifting like the 2010. The SRC is a must with the even lower profile tires, in sport mode you can feel the suspension track every contour but not harsh and surprisingly pot holes and RR tracks feel like floating over them with no hard hit bounce. Just like the 2010 but a bit more wheel travel it feels like on this model which is an impovement. I have not used the manual paddle shift much yet but the shift points seem smooth and quick. Since this car has so much more power and torque I am treating it gently for now. More later if I can edit this at a later date. I used my Costco discount and my GM BuyPower points which knocked off $10k from the $63k MSPR as optioned

Just traded in my 2013 Sting Ray for a 2019 Corvette Grand Sport, both with a manual transmission. WOW!!!! The 2013 was great, and I love it, but the 2019 Grand Sport is absolutely awesome!! It looks absolutely gorgeous (Gets thumbs up and high fives wherever I go), it sounds terrific, it goes, stops and handles like no other Vette before, and better that almost any other car, and the inside has been much improved, is comfortable and has a rich look to it. No reason to buy an expensive German car. This looks, sounds, and goes better, and it will be much more reliable. My 2013 had 94,996 miles on it and NOTHING went wrong with it, nothing rattled and nothing squeaked, and everything worked. I cannot say the same for my previous BMWs (3) Audis (3) and Porsche (1). All needed expensive repairs, and, sometimes sat at the dealer waiting for parts for well over a week!!!! Buy a Vette, if you are looking for a sports car, and you won't regret it.

The manual transmission is garbage. They know it and they still sold it to me. Look up tremec issue which is what I wish I had done before buying this piece of garbage. My car is brand new and has 700 miles on it. Read the reviews, the tremec had known issues they cannot fix. I have a 70,000$ paperweight sitting unused in my garage. The dealers know it as well and they just string you along telling me I just keep bringing it back in. The car is barely 4 months old Has spent over 100 days in the shop, it’s still not fixed and each one of the dealers I brought it to for service damaged the car while it’s in their shop!!!! I’ve got scratches, a torn seat and it looks like it spent three months sitting at the beach. One dealer put 50 miles on it somehow not noticing that it instantly pops out of gear each and every time You use it. The 2nd dealer confirmed the issue within 10 seconds, It did it immediately and every single time. Plus, it sure doesn’t look like a brand new car anymore. I told the service man it must rain sand in Sunrise florida. Its terrible these to treat a customer like this, these people should be ashamed of themselves!

For the money you have to pay for this car, things keep going wrong or things break or don’t work. Cracked wheels GM will not take responsibility for if it’s not that it’s the transmission (auto) problems or it’s the oxygen sensors, interior is cheap it’s expensive for parts and repair. $1400.00 for a water pump? Really?! $1740.00 for one side skirt and you need two, if you want style. You better have extended warranty!! Not happy

I swear that this car is intuitive. She responds like she knows what I want. Gas mileage is amazingly good with 15-16 MPG tooling around the streets of Brooklyn in the Eco mode (only four of the eight cylinders active). Driving down to Southern Va I got 35 MPH. If you dial in the side mirrors and add after market Convex mirror overlays the blind spot is mitigated. Creature comfort is amazing and the memory seat function is great. The HUD is really useful as is the rest of the creature comforts. As this is my daily driver and with no track usage I changed the performance summer only tires (19 inch front and 20 inch rear on my Grand Sport) for the same size Micheline All season tires. The ride is smooth and far better than all the cars I have owned and the 8 speed dual clutch automatic shifts flawlessly. Simply put I love this car

This car does just about everything very, very well. Great ride, outstanding handling, and enough power for day to day use. I drive it everyday that weather allows and love it. Only downside are the wheels and tires. The Pilots are so soft they pick up everything and the cast wheels have the know cracking issues.

This review is of my 2019 Z51 3LT. In blade silver it's stunning and shows all body lines and angles. It looks like a spaceship. Handling and braking is amazing with Brembos and the mag ride option. Many adjustments from touring to track can be made to adjust the steering feel and dampening to your liking. The speedo has various custom features and options, pdr, hud, etc. There is so much to learn and customize with the car that it can be overwhelming. It's unbelievably tight and confident on the road. Tires are soft and sticky so you need stone guards or the paint will get chipped. 19" wheels in front 20" in rear. Dry sump oil system. Adrenaline red 3LT with carbon fiber trim is the most beautiful interior I have ever seen. Nice alcantara quilt stitching on the inside of the solid roof and alcantara trim on pillars. Carbon flash exterior trim with muti-color flake looks classy. Bose 10 speaker system is nice but could be better. Interior is pretty tight but comfortable. Cargo space is good and the roof can be stored. NPP exhaust is decent. It's a fast little street weapon. Plenty of aftermarket as well. Take it out and get looks, compliments and cell phones going up behind you when you watch your rear view mirror. Don't forget to wave! Update: traded Z51 coupe for Z06 convertible in the same color combo and I am extremely happy. The Z06 looks, sound and pedal response is amazing. It has at least 30 more options that the Stingray did not. The convertible is what I really wanted and this car is a dream. In comparing the 2 the Z51 handling is razor sharp and it felt tight if not claustrophoboc inside. The Z06 feels a bit larger and more open because it is a convertible but is every bit the same and even better in terms of the wide body and sound alone. The Bose also sounds better because the speakers are right behind the seats and the cabin is smaller. My Z51 received compliments but the Z06 takes it a step further where people are yelling compliments out their car windows. I finally have my "dream car".

This is a marvel of great build quality. Driving this vehicle really puts a smile on your face. I get a lot of compliments everywhere I go. This car tracks very well and the transmission runs cool due to the external cooler. I really like this body style better than the new C8, because it truly looks like a Vette. I currently have 5500 miles on it with no issues. By the way it is very fast, a Z06 without the supercharger. In addition, the 8 speed auto is great. I have had no issues with this car as it runs and performs great. Currently have 5700 miles on this car as of 10/22/22. I get a lot of compliments on how great this car looks. Here it is on 4/24/23 and have had no issues. Great sports car that is so fun to drive. Really puts a smile on your face. Now it is 10/24/23 and the grand sport is doing great. Still a joy and fun to drive. The C7 maybe the best Vette yet. Currently have 6500 miles on it. Now it is 4/25/24 and have 6900 miles on it. No issues, still running great and really enjoy driving. It is now 10/24/24 and have 7300 trouble free miles. I get a lot of compliments on this car. It is now 4/25 with 7700 miles and no issues, still really enjoying this car.

This Corvette receives a lot of attention on the road and at in town cruises. Wickedly fast and quick on the road, one needs to be cautious regarding speed during drives on the freeway.

Great performance, definitely a racing car. In sport mode the sound is like a Harley! The grip of the tires on the road is fantastic, very hard to burn rubber the car grabs the and launch 🚀

This beautiful 2019 Artic White Corvette Grand Sport wide body is a head turner. Many compliments and thumbs up. This beauty has been well maintained and housed undercover from day 1. Windows professionally tinted to reflect Florida’s sun.

Traded in a 2014 Z51 for a 2019 Z06 3LZ. Best choice I ever made. The Z06 drives and handles like a totally different car.

I enjoy it while I can! Great performance. And automatic transmission should be doing clutch with this much horse power and performance. The navigation is five-year-old technology I display screen is five-year-old technology. For me, the seats were only good for about an hour even though they feel good fit well and are very adjustable. My other car is a BMW and Mercedes and there is a distinct difference In the quality of materials used with the Corvette having a lesser quality. With the Corvette you’re paying for the technology and horse power no doubt about it and it’s a bargain.

This car is beautiful, very fast and very comfortable. Admiral Blue Metallic turns a lot of heads. Love the engine and performance exhaust sounds. Well worth owning. Our tenth Vette and there will be more 👍

I went in to the dealership to pre-order a 2020 Corvette. When I was told the wait was well over a year, I was a little distraught. I was then asked if I had looked at the deals on the remaining 2019's. With the discounts and a little extra negotiating, I found the perfect car and couldn't be happier.

Black with red interior convertible with red calipers makes this corvette pop. Very low miles (11,600) 2LT Z51 package. Less than a 1000 miles on new tires. It is for sale. Let me know if you want to take it home.
